The gunmen “shot bullets to the air in random causing fear and panic to the civilians who are in full alert of evacuating the town anytime the rebel storm the town”, read part of the report delivered to Nyamilepedia.
The situation has relatively calmed down, however, the residents fear that a fighting could erupt anytime.

Due to poor network, further calls to Wau were not well intercepted, but the residents have partially resumed their sleep.
After the government soldiers launched an attack on trainees in the town of Mapel, near Wau, a big number of unarmed trainees were dispersed in different directions into the nearby bushes, yesterday. It is yet to be verified whether the disgruntled trainees are linked to the recent gunshots in Wau.
