President Kiir Issues Republican Order Reconstituting Some Ministries

March 17, 2014(Nyamilepedia) — President Salva Kiir Mayardit yesterday evening issued a Republican Order reconstituting some of the ministries amalgamated under the lean government.

The Republican Order No. 10/2014 issued was for the amendment of Republican Order No. 14/2013 for the separation from and reinstatement of some Ministries in the reduced and re-structured Ministries of the national government of the Republic of South Sudan.

Under the order, Veteran Affairs was separated from the Ministry of Defense and Veteran Affairs and established as the Ministry of Veteran Affairs.

Trade and Investment was separated from Finance, Commerce, Investment and Economic Planning and as well Industry was separated from the Ministry of Petroleum, Mining, and Industry and the two were combined under a new Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment.

Labor was separated from the Ministry of Labor, Public Service and Human Resource Development and established as Ministry of Labor.

Wildlife Conservation was separated from the Ministry of Interior and Wildlife Conservation and also Tourism from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Tourism, Animal Resources and Fisheries, and reinstated as one Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife Conservation.

Livestock and Fisheries separated from the Ministry of Agriculture and reinstated as the Ministry of Wildlife and Fisheries Industry.

Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management was separated from the Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare and reinstated as the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.
