SPLM-Arusha Calls upon All South Sudanese to Accept Peace and To Embrace The spirit of Love and Unity

SPLM-001

Nov 17, 2015(Nyamilepedia) —- The office of the SPLM/A Acting Representative to the United Republic of Tanzania would like to call upon the two parties and all South Sudanese to accept peace and embrace the spirit of love and unity for the sake of ending the suffering of our people. We must understand that no matter how long we fight, we will one day come together and eat from the same table as South Sudanese, as brothers and sisters, as fellow country men and women regardless of our political divide.

We must encourage the spirit of democracy in our country so as to move forward with development and catch up with other nations. We are all aware that a country cannot move forward in the presence of war and disunity and we have been a laughing-stock for years and this must end my brothers and sisters. We must work hard to destroy tribalism, nepotism, corruption and all kinds of injustice because these are the elements that pulled our country back whenever we intend to move forward.

The more than 60 tribes must come together and identify themselves as South Sudanese first before their own tribes, this is what will bring us together and move us forward as a nation, this is what will make us respected worldwide.

I congratulate His Excellency Dr. Riek Machar Teny and His Excellency President Salva Kiir for signing the peace in August and now call upon our brother President Salva Kiir to make sure that those within his government who are responsible for violation of the agreement are brought to book in order for the country to move forward with the implementation of the peace agreement and development of our country. I think the interest of our people is more important than the interest of an individual.

Lastly, and not the least, I appeal to our brothers in government and to all South Sudanese to support this peace agreement for the interest of all South Sudanese. Those who are dying on daily basis due to armed robbery, diseases, starvation or fighting are South Sudanese and there is no way that we can allow our people to continue living in such a situation.

Thank you and May God bless South Sudan.

Mr. Peter Oyoyo Kleto
