May 26, 2014(Nyamilepedia) — Museveni, who is accused of contributing to mass destruction and merciless killing of South Sudanese using cluster bombs and ground troops, was reported ditching at his trouble counterparts of the failed states last week.

Museveni made his fierce remarks during a grand final campaign rally for the NRM woman flag bearer Rebecca Nalwanga at Zirobwe Town Council grounds.

Museveni boldly attacked his counterparts that include Salva Kiir, saying that he would rather hang himself or voluntarily step down if his citizens had to be protected by the United Nations.

“I have never called the United Nations to guard your security. Me, Yoweri Museveni to say that I have failed to protect my people and I call in the UN….I would rather hang myself. We prioritized national security by developing a strong army otherwise our Uganda would be like DRC, South Sudan, Somalia or Nigeria where militias have disappeared with school children. It would be a vote of no confidence to our country and citizens if we can’t guarantee our security, what kind of persons would we be?” Museveni said.

Despite sharp criticism from the South Sudanese masses including the oppositions, South Sudan government officials are making attempts to justify the defamatory remarks and would rather maintain the shaky bilateral relations with the Ugandan president.

“We have noted the remarks attributed to the Ugandan president have received mixed reactions and created anger but as a government we have a way to handle it”, Said Peter Bashir Gbandi, the country’s deputy foreign affairs minister.

“Our relations with the government and the people of Uganda are strong and progressively moving forward. The remarks may have created some displeasures but I am sure our relations would continue to grow”, minister Gbandi continued.

However, Museveni’s remark were not tolerated by some SPLM veterans. Dr. Peter Adwok Nyaba, an SPLM [in opposition] member, who is under house arrest in Juba stated that he was not surprised that Museveni would turn against South Sudan as such because South Sudan has freely open up its resources to Ugandans, who are only giving back second hand merchandise in exchange.

“Museveni‘s disparaging remarks don’t perturb me at all. His attitude towards us and our leaders is informed by the manner we conducted ourselves during the war of liberation and after the CPA [Comprehensive Peace Agreement, which landed us in the mess we are in”, South Sudan’s ex-minister for higher education, Peter Adwok Nyaba commented on Saturday.

“We played with our resources that Uganda became South Sudan’s supermarket for second hand merchandise as well as purchases of real estates instead of investing in our country. We should just lick our wounds quietly,” Adwok continued.

South Sudan adopted and trained a strong guerrilla forces that fought the 30 years wars of liberations, however, majority of the army has defected the Juba government. Over 70% of the army, backed by the white army, is currently resisting foreign troops from Uganda and Sudan in 3 of the 8 states affected by the conflict.

Museveni sent his UPDF to South Sudan in December to end the war or capture Machar in 4 days, however, his “guerrilla harden” forces are now looking forward to withdraw. South Sudan negotiators in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, will discuss the withdrawal of foreign troops in June.
