April 30, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– The Western Jikany Community (Mainland-Guit County) at home and in the Diaspora would like to take this opportunity to unreservedly congratulate its beloved son, 1st Lt.Gen, SPLM/A-IO Chief Negotiator and Minister of Mining, Hon. Taban Deng Gai for his new appointment as a national minister in the newly formed South Sudan TGoNU.

We also appreciate and congratulate H.E., the First Vice President, Chairman and C-In-C of the SPLM/A-IO Dr. Riek Machar Teny for entrusting General Taban with this important Ministry (Mining) during this critical time in the history of our nation.

During the last 28 months in the history of South Sudan, General Taban have shown nationalism, open minded toughness, tender care for his people (all South Sudanese), resourcefulness and resiliency in bringing back the former warring parties to the South Sudan conflict back to the table.

Although Gen Taban Deng is not 100% perfect as a human being which we are not claiming, but he has served his people during those difficult times with respect, dignity and honour which deserve our highest admiration. The history and the esteemed people of South Sudan will vividly remember General Taban Deng Gai as one of our key liberation struggle leaders (1983-2005) against North Sudan  and also as a peace maker between South-South tragic conflict (2013-2016).

As a National Minister in the TGoNU, we believe that Hon. Minister Taban Deng Gai will still champion the case for permanent peace for the people of South Sudan as he reiterated many times while in Juba as the SPLM/A-IO Chief Negotiator and as the Advance Team Head to Juba. We fully support you in this capacity and wish you all the best in your new portfolio.

Although the Ministry of Mining was not the first ministry that come to mind for many who want General Taban to help with badly needed reform, we truly respect and support the choice and the wishes of H. E., the First Vice President, Chairman and C-In-C of the SPLM/A-IO Dr. Riek Machar Teny and promise to wholeheartedly support him and his team in evey way possible to rescue the people of South Sudan from the current economic and political anarchy.

We also appeal to those who did not get the opportunity this time in the Cabinet to continue to positively contribute toward achieving a war-free South Sudan for the benefit of our people.
Remember that “A great leader’s courage to fulfill his vision comes from passion, not position.” John C. Maxwell. Let us all make it our passion to work for peace and most importantly live in peace with one another and be part of the solution rather than becoming part of the problem.

May God bless South Sudan, its people and may he make this peace a reality so that full normalcy can return and our people can live together again with no fear and suspicion Amen.

Viva South Sudan Viva!!!
Viva TGoNU Viva!!!
Viva FVP Dr. Machar Viva!!!
Viva President Kiiir Viva!!!
Viva Hon. General Taban Viva!!
