August 5, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — The office of SPLM/A Deputy Representative to the United Republic of Tanzania would like to inform the government and the people of the United Republic of Tanzania, the IGAD-Plus, the AU, EU and the United Nation and other local and international organizations all over the world to pressure the government of President Salva Kiir to stop the anti-peace demonstrations in Juba and other parts of the country.

The IGAD-Plus compromise document is a paper worth reading. Our understanding is that the document is meant to be read and the parties can analyze in order to come up with their positions to the mediation team.

SPLM Tanzania Mission office sees no logic for the government for rejecting the entire document and calling for anti-peace demonstrations, this is evidence that the Juba government is not serious about settling the conflict through peaceful political means.

SPLM/A Mission in Tanzania would like to rubbish the claim by the government that Juba and other major cities should not be demilitarized as that would mean surrendering of the sovereignty of South Sudan to foreign forces.

The country has long been surrendered by President Salva Kiir and his cronies to foreign forces from Uganda and rebels of North Sudan, therefore, the Juba government should not even bring the issue of Sovereignty.

Secondly, SPLM under the visionary and democratic leadership of comrade Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon has gained huge support across the 10 states, therefore, the power sharing ratios should apply in all levels of government and across the 10 states, no exception if sustainable peace is to be reached.

The office would like to inform supporters, friends and the government of Tanzania and all international and local bodies that the Juba government has caused untold suffering to our people and it continues to do so.

There is hunger and starvation all over the country. More recently, more than 2000 people from the President home state of Warrap fled the state to Abyei because of hunger, and there is growing famine and hunger in Eastern Equatoria state and in every corner of the country.

We are asking the government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the international community to seriously take note of the suffering that the Juba government has imposed on innocent civilians in addition to terroristic behavior of the tribal Juba SPLA army against peace loving communities in South Sudan.

The Juba government term has expired as of July 9th 2015 and has been upto now ruling the country illegally.

Salva Kiir government should have shared power equally with SPLM in opposition as a compromise because he is no longer President of South Sudan given that his mandates to govern the country expired but for the sake of peace, SPLM under the visionary, democratic and charismatic leadership of comrade Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon continues to negotiate to return peace to the country.

Lastly, but not the least, the office would like to inform the public that a recent public opinion conducted by the SPLM Tanzania Mission, supervised by the deputy representative to the United Republic of Tanzannia to gather opinions of the people in South Sudan about the Juba government says over 87 percent of citizens living under government control in the country are in support of the programmes advance by the SPLM/A under Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon. This clearly shows that the Juba government is in power by iron fist and not by the mandates and supports of the people.

The fact that foreigners are brought to defend the regime since from day one upto now shows that the citizens are totally against the Juba tribal and oppressive regime. The office of the deputy representative would like to inform all peace loving people worldwide that SPLM/A under visionary and democratic leadership of comrade Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon will never be intimidated nor shaken by any power because it is fighting for a just cause and it will continue to fight until our people are free from the chains of slavery, tribalism, corruption, dictatorship anarchy and all forms of injustice introduced by the tribal government of Salva Kiir.

Thank you .

Struggle continues,

Victory is certain;

Mr. Peter Oyoyo Kleto

Deputy Representative to the United Republic of Tanzania
