Nov 14, 2015(Nyamilepedia) —- South Sudanese artists association in Ethiopia is due to celebrate the recently signed security agreement between the trio warring parties which supposed to end more than 22 months of south Sudan civil war next week in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia. According to the chairperson of the association, Khor DJ,
“The mass are being informs to attends the show as a part to celebrate the recently signed security arrangement. It is important for south Sudanese living here in Addis Ababa to come and joins us in celebration.”
Khor DJ express his gratitude to the leaders for their efforts in bringing the conflict that kills thousands, displaced millions and threatening the country to experience famine to an end.
“Finally our hopes is being restored. Our leaders’ efforts in signing the peace is really a good step to bring the people of south Sudan together months after the war broke out in south Sudan in December of 2013.”
The concert will takes place at Mabaratels roundabout in St. George Hotel opposite the Fountain Café from 1:30 pm afternoon on Friday of 20th November. The tickets are already on sales this week and hundreds of people are expected to attend the concert. The planning about the show came after weeks of consideration and progress on the peace process negotiates between the warring parties of the SPLM.
South Sudan civil war already displaced millions of people to the neighboring countries, thousands died and thousands more are stranded in the UNMISS protection sites across the country. The famine according to UN is looming and threatening the very lives of the local people living in the Greater Upper Nile. Recently the atrocities committed in southern part of the Unity State has been widely condemned by the several human right agencies in the country. Some dignitaries in the country have been invited to attend the show.
Speaking to peace Ambassador, Gatwech Kok Nyuon who is also invited to the function, Mr. Kok believed it is a good step to incite the local people of south Sudan to accept the peace process and such a functions should be attends massively because it is part of the process in implementing the peace in the country.
“We express our gratitude to south Sudanese leaders finally for signing the Transitional Security Arrangement. It is good at least, but we would like to see them keeping the promise without taking the country back to square one again. Signing alone doesn’t make sense, they leaders must work hard to implement what they signed.”
The peace ambassador further extended a message of peace to the people of south Sudan asking all the citizens to be part of the implementation process.
“We must take the responsibility to help our leaders to implement what they signal. As the citizens to this country we are part of the bigger picture to help bring the war to an end. We must stop now fighting each other.”
The concert is apparently well organized.

Khor DJ,
I was wondering if your mind you Nuer in Ethiopia plus Riek Machar is functioning properly. You Nuer in Ethiopia plus Riek Machar you always talk about celebration of signed peace, reconciliation, and going to Juba while your people are still being killed in Unity State and Upper Nile State.
You keep singing a song of reconciliation and implementation of unworkable peace while the killers who chased you away like birds from Juba are not talking about peace, not implementing peace, and still killing Nuer in their hideout. Nuer were the one being killed for no reason, your boys were castrated, your property looted, your communities were burned to ground, and our people were forced to eat dead bodies, yet you are the one want to reconcile.
What are you going to reconcile really while you did not do anything to your enemy? Is your mind really healthy? What world are you living in today? If this is a real peace, then Kiir and Bul militias should stop killing innocent civilians in Unity State before any of the Rebel representative team go to Juba for peace implementation or for surrendering whatever you call it. The government should first stop killing Shilluk brothers in Upper Nile state before any rebel representative send to Juba.
I am sorry for you Nuer for having little mind that forget things so quickly.
I confused for who ever is speaking of celebration the peace signing in Addis Ababa last month. Is this a joke? I totally agree to Mr Khor. You(Nuer) in Addis Ababa, go head to celebrate of peace signing, but both you & Riek Machar ‘ll never survive one day since you all taking this war as a game of soccer.
B.Ramiraan,
Trying to hold back a stubborn naive Nuer from jumping to his death over a cliff with joy that a hang has signed peace is not only difficult but dangerous.
The leadership Oppositions and the Nuer Council should have made it clear to these idiots that YES WE ARE FOR PEACE but we are not jumping heads over heels to celebrate until peace is realized in every pockets of the country(South Sudan) that simple message alone is important and it means seriousness is required of the peace partners. Let them jump for joy, they are not exactly the ones having first hand experiences of the continued violence in Jonglei or in Unity & Upper Nile States combined.
In my camp of few like minded there is no celebrations yet. Rule of thumb is “Anyone dares to jump over this hallowed peace better stay up there”
