Sept 2, 2014(Nyamilepedia) — The Internally Displaced People (IDPs) living under the protection of Civilian (POC) site in Juba has called on Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) who mediated the peace process between the South Sudan two warring parties to involves the IDPs under UN protection of civilian sites.

Peter Gatkuoth Camp Chairman in Juba UN House said in exclusive Interview that they need IGAD to involve IDPs living under UN Protection of Civilian Sites in the country.

“I can assure them if two side make a peace agreement, that time we held a many meeting with NGOS who have come here and the US government representative Susan Page who have come here and also African Union Inquiry team and we request from them through letters that we need a civil society to be taken from IDPs to take part in peace process, that thing was not done and we decided that as IDPs that what will happen to those IDPs representative who supposed to be taken and participate in peace process” said Gatkuoth

The camp chairman said that “because we also look that if that peace continue like this without IDPs involvement, we will question them later because those are our property, our car, our houses are taken by others people and if that peace will not recognize us the IDPs we will not except that and we don’t know our position in peace talk, we stand strong about this as IDPs in South Sudan who talk on behave of others IDPs”

“we also suggest that IGAD can recognize IDPs to be taken and participate in peace process so that they talk on behave of others IDPs because we are the one who face all this challenges and we have say our position in peace talk” he added.

The fate of peace talk has remain unknown with the two warring parties disagreeing on the formation of the Transitional Government of National Unity.
