Public Invitation To 1St South Sudanese Diaspora Civil Society Conference – 2015

 Dear South Sudanese and friends worldwide,

March 3, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — It is with great pleasure that we announce the First SSRRA – USA – 2015 – Diaspora – Civil Society Conference. The conference is set to take place on April 17 – 18, 2015, at the Ramada Plaza Omaha Hotel and Convention Center – in Omaha, NE.

The South Sudanese Community stakeholders, churches, organizations, professionals and individuals sponsored the conference. The theme of the conference is “Creating Humanitarian Awareness and Peace Building in South Sudan.” The program agenda will include guest speakers and research presentations by experts in selected areas within humanitarian efforts and peace building in South Sudan.

For your information, the SSRRA-U.S.A was established in September, 2014, with a goal to mobilize and coordinate South Sudanese community stakeholders, groups and individuals contributions throughout the United States to help provide basic emergency assistance to South Sudanese in devastated areas of the country.

In addition, the SSRRA-USA organization’s ambition was not only to mobilize the South Sudanese community, but also to partner with American friends to enhance the effectiveness of both fundraising and the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those who need it the most.

The deliverableS will be a set of substantive fundraising policies and action-oriented recommendations that will be leveraged through over hundreds participants from within South Sudanese Community at large.
