June 29, 2014(Nyamilepedia) — We are privileged to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to all of you for your tremendous contributions to make this domain (nyamile.com) one of the most popular and most trusted WordPress websites in just less than a year. Out of 56 millions WordPress Blogs, Nyamilepedia has been listed among the top 100 blogs of the day, at least, for the last six months. Today Nyamilepedia has reached its 7th digit (1,000,000) of visits from approximately 173 countries.
Accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Nyamielepedia receives between 8,000 to 16,000 visitors each day, for upto approximately 350, 000 visitors a month, at least for the last two months. We couldn’t have done that without your contributions.
Nyamilepedia, launched in December 2013, was founded, initially, as an e-portfolio for a computer science school competition. The site was founded to serve as a personal portfolio, however, because of the conflict and media censorship in South Sudan, Nyamilepedia was converted to a gigantic media outlet to provide, not just an alternative platform but independently verified perspectives on the conflict and our diverse communities, citizens, well wishers and friends of South Sudan.
Your efforts have built a media outlet that does not only serve the people of South Sudan, as expected, but the region and beyond. It is our hopes to continue strengthening and providing online media services that would help, not only the individuals or communities but also the governments.
A nation is free when the citizens are free to express their dreams and expectations without intimidation or violence. We believe it is because of such dreams that all of you have read, share, comment, re-blog, like, re-twit, discuss, write and submit your well articulated articles. We hope you continue with such efforts to provide a voice for the voiceless and hope for the hopeless.
