June 18, 2015 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s rebel spokesperson for Lakes State has accused the government in Juba of planning major attacks on their positions in another fresh violation of the Cessation of Hostilities agreement signed between both warring parties in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

According to Col Makuer Mabor Mangar, the SPLM/A rebel spokesperson in Lakes State, their forces have been watching and noticed a large movement of government troops towards their positions at the Lakes State border with Unity State in an apparent move by regimes forces to attack Panyinjiar county of Lich State (Unity State), which is an opposition stronghold.

According to intelligence surveillance by opposition fighters on the ground, government troops have been seen moving toward Panyinjiar using two separate routes to attack the county, “Our intelligence indicates that they are using two routes: one is the Amongpiny-Payinyjiar road and the other is Maper and Mayendit-Nyal road.”

The rebel spokesperson urged IGAD to take immediate action against continued government violations of the cessation of hostilities agreement saying:

“This is a blatant violation of Cessation of Hostilities Agreement (CoHA).” Col. Makuer Mabor added.

The SPLM/A rebel spokesperson said they still respect the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement signed with the regime and also their full commitment to IGAD-Plus peace process but their forces would act in self defense if and when attacked by government forces.

Speaking from undisclosed location in the area, Col. Makuer says rebel forces in Lakes State and Panyinjiar County are coordinating and have been put on alert and full readiness to defend themselves and to repulse any government aggression on their respective positions.

That purported spokesperson for the rebels in Panyijar county,Makuer Mabor Mangar, came from Australia in 2011 and settled in Juba Capital city, He was putting up in a Hotel for one full year ,leaving his parents entirely in limbo, wondering what kind of child they brought forth. He claimed looking for job but he was intentionally denied a job, given his intellectual faculties, are questionable and his behavior towards elders, intellectuals and his entire friends doubt his mantle uprightness coupled with his mood swings and paranoiac nature, leave alone his academic qualifications. “Makuer Ayeda” as he is referred to.
