SPLM.IO Youth League In Uganda Thanks Uganda President And Uganda People For Contributing In Bringing Peace Into South Sudan

Sept 19, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — In a meeting held on Sunday, sept 13th, 2015 the Youth wing of SPLM/A-IO in Uganda thanks the Ugandan president Yuweri Kaguta Musevni and people of Uganda for their vast contribution to bring peace to the country. They urge the Uganda leader to help implement the accord since he’s an important figure in the region and they highly appreciate his contribution in the signed agreement.

The youth also urges the IGAD members, the US and UN to help south Sudan implement the signed accord and calls on the international community to exert pressure on the Government to stop some elements who are against peace from violating the declared permanent cease fire.

Under the theme, “empower youth empower the nation”, the youth in Uganda under the overall leadership of chairman Puot Kang congratulate the commander in chief, DR.Riek Machar Teny, for being endorsed as the first vice president and further congratulates the entire leadership of SPLM/A IO for observing the ceasefire agreement.

The youth believe that the cry of South Sudanese for peace is loud and the world has finally heard it and the leaders answered it. They hope the government respects the permanent ceasefire for proper implementation.

With the high turn out on Sunday, the youth are determined to work for change of the country under the visionary leader, Dr.Riek Machar Teny to move South Sudan to a better level on social economic development and also to foster peaceful and comprehensive bilateral relations with East African region, Africa and the rest of the world.

Mark Fidel, the Youth Chairman, congratulates commander in Chief and urge youth to keep focused on changing the country and follow the vision of SPLM-IO that is based on democratic governance and federalism.

Thol Riek Dogor, the general secretary, thanks Uganda people and their leadership for their contribution in the signed peace, assuring them the SPLM-IO youth will always be friendly and work in hand with its neighbors to prosper socially and economically.

He went on to encourage the SPLM –IO youth worldwide to work hard to change the country to a better level with their different capacities so that South Sudan can be a place every living soul would wish to live in.

Lam Marieu,  the information secretary, also thanks the youth for standing firm and being in the fore front to bring change to South Sudan. He encourages them to maximize unity and equity among themselves for better South Sudan

The youth in the Sunday’s meeting elected an interim transitional leadership to administer their affairs in the meantime. The new leadership comprises of the following:
