IDPS In Jonglei State Form a New Leadership

April 13, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– The south Sudanese IDPs under the UNMISS protection compound in the Jonglie’s capital, Bor, have formed a new leadership.

The move came two weeks after much consultation among the members and the entire community in the UNMISS compound.

While the nation awaited the arrival of the country’s First Vice President, the Armed Opposition leader, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, South Sudanese are hoping for a final solution to the country’s catastrophic crises that have divided the nation for the last two and half years.

The new leadership will oversees and organizes the IDPs in Bor to welcome the country’s First Vice President, who is expected to arrives next week for the formation of the Transitional Government of National Unity.

The overwhelming majority of IDPs across the country are on standby, eagerly waiting the arrival of the armed Opposition Leader, Dr. Riek Machar, in Juba for them to match in celebrations across the major towns.

The council formed and elected the following members to be in charge of the IDPs in the UNMISS Protection site in Bor, New Jonglei State.

While Maj.General Chuol Mok Yat takes the Chairperson, Peter Ker Jal will be the Deputy in the Office of the Chairman.

On the other hand, David Thuok Yien will be the Secretary General for SPLM/A-IO in the Camp deputized by Tuak Bol as Thok Chuni Kuai shall oversees the information Office deputized by Chuol Monykuany Thial. Chuol Machar Gatwech elected to take care for the Finance deputized by Chol Yak Diet.

The IDPs leadership in Bor also appoints Kun Padiet Pajok to runs the office of Peace and Reconciliation.

The following shall help in carrying out the reconciliation. Duop Bayak, Nyawech Dup Chiek, Nyarok Rut, Nyawech Thon Koryom, Nyachar Rueei Gaguang, Stephen Yien Chuol and Kuey Riek Chan were selected to help in carrying out the message for peace and reconciliation among the local communities living in the Bor’s UNMISS protection site.
