Nairobi, July 21, 2014(Nyamilepedia) — Greater Fangak Community worldwide takes this opportunity to congratulate the SPLM/A under the wise Leadership of Dr. Riek Machar Teny – Dhurgon for the wise plan to establish twenty one(21) federal states in Federal Democratic Republic of South Sudan.
Greater Fangak Community has enthusiastically welcomed this promising pledge by the SPLM/A, in which Fangak would establish its own administrative state, within what would be the Federal Democratic Republic of South Sudan, FDRSS.
Greater Fangak Community constitutes three sisterly counties namely, Pigi, Ayod and Fangak. The three communities, built by kith and kin network, have lived in peace and harmony since the time of immemorial. Thus, having their own federal state, the three counties would cement and nurture their longstanding unity of purpose.
In cognizant to this plan, Greater Fangak Community registers its vote of confident in support of a call for a federal governance system in South Sudan.
It is our believe that benefits of federalism go beyond normal margin of a social spectrum; indeed, it will enable people of South Sudan to realize and fulfill communal aspirations of social developments at their doorsteps. This credence comes as a result of desiring fruits of federalism that will trickle down to the most disadvantaged sections of our society.
While seizing this opportunity, Greater Fangak Community calls upon South Sudanese statesmen, political elites, academicians, faith-based communities, traditional authorities, civil societies and other peace loving stakeholders to fully embrace the ongoing IGAD peace initiative that aims to end the unwanted political crisis which has overtaken our country for the last seven months.
With attainment of peace, South Sudanese will be able to celebrate their social differences and cultural diversities, a collective mosaic of forging ‘South Sudanesness’ as a common identity for all, only through a federally structured states.
