August 06, 2015(Nyamilepedia) —Â The residents of Bor county in South Sudan’s Jonglei state are coping with a “sorrowful mystery” that befell the family of Jale Payam chief last night.
The chief of Jale Payam, Kwai Ayuen and his wife, commonly known as Apiudit, were both beheaded in an attack on their house in Bor County, Jonglei state.
According to residents, the disguised assailants are yet to be identified. Others, however, attribute their blames to politicians in Salva Kiir government.
“Chief Ayuendit was loved by everyone in the county, his death is a sorrowful mystery to all of us here. He will be missed” Said Thiong Garang a resident of Bor town.
A distance relative, who declined to be named due to sensitivity of the case, believes that Chief Kwai Ayuen blamed the politicians for the suffering of his people and criticized unnamed politicians for dragging the peace process and failing to restore calm in the county.
Other residents speculate that the attack could have been carried out by members of neighboring Murle community, who have carried out attacks in the area in the past.
Critics, however, doubt if Murle ethnics would carry out brutal attacks on senior members of another community.
“No, no that is not true. Murle attack to raid cattle and abduct children. Why would they attack a home without taking cattle. They failed to raid cattle nearby. This cannot be murle thing” Said John Dau, a student from Moi University.
“This beheading technique is something new in our society but the way it was done make me wonder if this is not some political matter. This is a warning to chiefs of the area. Someone must be responsible” he continue.

JUET PEOPLE SHOULD be the one to FIND THE CULPRITS AMONG THEMSELVES, GOVERNMENT SECURITY HAVE GUNS TO SHOOT WITH, Murle on the other hand will not go as far as to single out the chief and gruesomely beheaded him and his wife that way.
I am really very sad to be a South Sudanese.
May the Almighty Father rest your soul in Peace.
