April 28, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —- The people of Bieh State and the State leadership congratulate H.E Dr. Riek Machar, the First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, Chairman and Commander in Chief of SPLM/A on his arrival to Juba and his subsequent swearing as the first vice president of the republic signifying a final return of peace and stability to South Sudan. Bieh State Government under the leadership of Lt. Gen. Kong Gatkuoth Kerjiok calls up on all peace loving South Sudanese to join Bieh State citizens in felicitating Dr. Machar for his selflessness in searching for a lasting solution to the South Sudan political crises that has engulfed the Country in the last 28 months.
Dr. Machar’s return to Juba, with all the challenges encompassed in the process, marked the beginning of another era in the history of South Sudan.
The Agreement on Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan present a rare opportunity for South Sudanese to united and reconstruct the Country or else the young elites of South Sudan must wake up to the danger of Statelessness if the Country is allow to diminish along tribal lines. The State leadership therefore, urged all South Sudanese to embrace the agreement and use the challenges and the experience of post CPA and independent South Sudan era to address the challenges that are awaiting the implementation of the ARCSS.
The State leadership acknowledged the positive role played by the South Sudan Government under the leadership of Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardiit for warmly welcoming Dr. Machar, which sent a strong message to peace spoilers that South Sudanese are now ready to bridge the gap of tribalism and move on in a new path of coexistence and political tolerance. The leadership also acknowledged the vital role of the international community in securing the agreement and at the same time reminds all stakeholders that the road a head remains arduous.
Bieh State leadership calls up on all citizens across the globe to hold thanksgiving prayers on May 7th, 2016 in acknowledging the role of the Almighty God for His guidance and protection to the citizens and the territorial integrity of the Lou Nuer people during the past years of the conflict.
