March 30, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — I am referring to the subsequent letters written by Edward Lino asking Salva Kiir, the bloody president of South Sudan to apologize to Nuer victims of December 2013. Peace is indispensable; no person on this whole world would reject peace unless they know peace can bring them more harm than good especially if court cases await the justification of death of thousands of unarmed civilians or more in three days. No one can remove this yoke from Salva Kiir’s head not even the families of the victims of December 2013. The crime is above political compromise, it has reach a level of justice, and it was a humanitarian disaster when NGOs and International experts described it. Even before December 2013 incident, Salva Kiir was liable to answer multiple deaths of Murle women and Children as a result of instructions given to the then Chief of Staff who ordered his Division Commander of that area to implement orders from above.

“An eye for an eye”, we the victims of December 2013 comprises of unarmed civilians, RoSS Public Servants and people of other works of lives like to see him (Salva Kiir Mayardit) in court answering for the death of our innocents which he killed in cold blood and if possible he should also give authentic evidences on the training of his own militias in their hundreds who later killed our people. Salva being the President at the time would also justify his intentions before he jumped to kill Nuer people because of political differences between him and his main rival in the SPLM Dr. Riek Machar Teny. Its only after the duly legal process is comprehensively addressed on the document of the IGAD Peace Agreement that the victims will have a second thought to re-unite South Sudan political, social and economic forces who part ways after December 2013 incident.

Should peace be achieved and a new government introduced, this will not protect Salva Kiir from standing at the yard of a court answering for his deeds, the accounts which led to the massacres of one thousand unarmed civilians, killing of Murle kids and their mothers etc. would be a lesson he will never forget. The right to life is inalienable, not even God who gave it would take it forcefully. Natural death is preferable than to be killed deliberately.

There is no reason to paint a rosy picture assuming that everybody is contented with the SPLM in Government game of a cat and a mouse. The reality must be told to avoid unnecessary loss of lives. Of course anyone trying to thwart the demands of the people will meet some degree of resistance if does not choose to back-off. More so, we obviously know that peace is glorious but bad peace is worth nothing at all. A peace deal which suggest to maintain Salva Kiir as President Of South Sudan and keep the current structures of RoSS as its undermines the reason why we took arms in the beginning.

Therefore, military confrontation against bad governance, nepotism, injustice, illiteracy, under-development, tribal affiliated politics and some kind of hereditary authoritarian leadership deserves bullets till they themselves ring the bell to leave the people alone to choose the type of government they like and who to govern them and how many years to be given to each leader for that matter.

Rejection of the above proposal and other proposed ways related to this will lead to either; a demand for referendum of the areas affected by the conflict, for example, Upper Nile and any willing regions or States to decide whether to remain with the Republic of South Sudan or form our own Sovereign State. This could be the best solution for the affected communities and for mothers, fathers, sons and daughters of the victims.

Every passing day, we always find new enemies against the aspirations of the people. Kiir must accept it the way it’s perceived or else.

Very excellent dear bro. Laraka we are tired of a useless president, he must be treated in the way you have said above for the people of SS.to have and achieve a good peace. Peace is an absence of war, prevailing of all amenities for the simple majority and a free society of SS.if there is a peace with the prevailing segregation, lack of amenities, discrimination, tribalism, nepotism, political velvets, corruption and etc then this should not be called a peace, and this is the type of peace that we always terms to be worser and most dangerous, catastrophe , tragedy and beyond description than war. In this case war is more better than peace of the nationalists will automatically chose war to liberate their people.

You can not talk about apology and forgiveness without considering justice and reconciliations. The question is which comes first? The chicken or the egg?
