November 30, 2014(Nyamilepedia) — Twenty thousand is a difficult number to comprehend, yet many South Sudanese will remember the December fifteenth this year. It is not obligatory to understand why it happened, or how, but rather to protect and preserve the memory of those who died and the circumstances of their deaths.

We all remember where we were on the night of December fifteenth. We watched as Salva Kiir devastated our country and brutally murdered her citizens in Juba, Bor, Bentiu and Upper Nile State; the political and individual disputes cause our country South Sudan havoc.

Remember and talk to the world about December 15th

December fifteenth should be emended to South Sudan permanent constitution as one of the country’s national holiday. We should teach the juveniles and the future generations about the event of December 15th and how, in the aftermath, we came together to recover and heal the wide spread wound.

  • We should study the December 15th because it teaches us about prejudice
  • We should learn about the December 15th because we want to, not because we have to.
  • We should study the December 15th to learn how cruelly the Nuer were treated for just being human.
  • We should study the December 15th because there is no doubt it could start again.
  • We should study the December 15th to prevent the future ones.
  • We should study the December 15th to be grateful for the things we have.

We owe it to the innocent South Sudanese that died, for the people tortured in Salva Kiir militia camps, and also for the people that escaped and who saw their loved ones dying at their feet. We should study the December 15th so that people at a young age can learn and not repeat the mistakes of the past when grow up. Many people said to themselves “They are not coming for me. Why should I care, well, I can answer that with another question. What if they come for you? Who will be around to help then?” We still have chance to bring an end to this long turmoil by coming together as South Sudanese regardless of our tribal and cultural differences.

The December 15thjoin program

The outfit of demonstrations: The South Sudanese and Nuer community in the globe agreed to wear black T-shirt or Polo shirt that has the cartoon boy dragging his dead mother. The dark clothing emphasizes and reflects the internal grieving and pain for the deceased. We choose not to wear suit or fine clothes because it is a third world mourning event where poverty is our indication.

Prayer and fasting: Starting by Sunday December 14th at night, South Sudanese should organize a join overnight-prayer and fasting. We should pray for the souls of our loved ones and ask God’s mercy and peace to the people of South Sudan and Africa as whole. God said to King Solomon; “If my people who are called by my name would humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14” Prayer is the way that we obtain what we need from God.

A mute mourning demonstration; By Monday December 15th all the people who attended the overnight-prayer plus the people who will join them shall march out lifting their written placard and banners that only describe the December 15th event.

“Attending the prayer meeting only is like sweeping of a dusty in a close room without spraying water in the air or pulling the grenade ring without throwing it”

Human being has spiritual and physical nutrition, where prayer and fasting is a spiritual feeding. “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s – Mark 12:17.” Any South Sudanese “particularly the Nuer” who will decline to join the demonstration under what so ever circumstances will be regarded with suspicion by the patriot South Sudanese. “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn – Roman 12:15”

I encourage all my fellow South Sudanese to stand firm and use every possible opportunity as an advantage to obtain back our freedom. My friend once said; “I choose to be like a barking dog that runs away from hyenas and once it reach the owner yard stop and start barking back again” We will not all join the front line because the fearless men of Cush are capable enough to manage this affair.

If it happens that today I came to Egypt and find tiny opportunity to disclose and preach what happened in December 15th. I will not hesitate to take the offer to aware the heart and the mind that still have love for their fellow citizens and country. I will continue telling the world that General Salva Kiir Mayardit does not deserve to be the chairperson of South Sudanese communities neither the post of chief nor minister for wildlife.

I stand behind the nation’s mother who once said; “I am the voice of the voiceless and the sight of the blinds. – Mama Rebecca Nyadeng Garang”

We can shake the walls of Babylon if we choose to; imagine a group of ten wild dogs came together and bark in front of South Sudan embassy on December 15th for two hours. Don’t you think the entire Arab district will come out and stand in their balconies to witness what is taking place? For this is how you deliver a message to the world, especially after the discovery of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and all the media houses.

Do not panic deaths can reach you on your bed, if it is your time!

We must commemorate it. We must fast to pray for God’s mercy to their souls. We shall wear black T- shirt from 15 – 16 December, 2013.

The 15th Dec is a very black Day in the history of South Sudan Where a president like Kiir murdered his own citizens in cold blood.
Let us remember our beloved people whom we lost seriously.
