May 13, 2017 (Nyamilepedia) —— One of the things that comes to the globe with the demise and resurrection of Savior Jesus Christ was the Ministry of Reconciliation between God Almighty and humanity. According to Ephesians 2: 14-16, our Lord Savior Christ‘s sacrifice tore down the walls of enmity and build bridges of peace, forgiveness, reconciliation and tolerance.
In the Scripture eras , there was a lot of mistrust, chauvinism, and humiliating approaches between the Jews and non-Jews, parallel to the ethnic and national political enmities nowadays. Consequently, as believers commemorated the resurrection of Lord Redeemer, it is significant that South Sudanese with ongoing differences echo on us, achieve a soul-searching and reconciliation.
As a citizen of South Sudan, we should work harder to nurture our differences in order to heal the wounds inflicted by the conflicts that have torn our country apart.
For the last four years, the SPLM/ IO leader, Dr.Riek Machar and the SPLM/ IG Chairperson, President Salva Kiir Mayardit have been at loggerheads.
Dr. Riek, a former 1st Vice President of Kiir from 2010- 2016, has challenged from the top leadership position in the nation since 2013 in a non-democratic means. On many occasions, the two leaders working relations has not been smooth as it should be expected by the South Sudanese people.
However, the Good News is that this Easter Festival, there is hope that the two leaders may come together and reconcile through the current ongoing National Dialogue.
It is my appeal that, my leaders should put the people of South Sudanese first and enter into a genuine National Dialogue while embracing the message of Christ of the resurrection and to forgive one another to rescue our beloved country South Sudan.
The resurrection of Christ celebration in our days is a chance to explore and reconcile our political leaders. Â God bless South Sudan
