July 7, 2014(Nyamilepedia) — We tried in our simple way to lead our life in a manner that may make a difference to those of others…what counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead…real leaders must be ready to sacrifice all for the freedom of their people…Death is something inevitable. When a man has done what he considers his duty to his people and his country, he can rest in peace. I believe I have made that effort and that is, therefore, why I will sleep for the eternity… If I had my time over, I would do the same again. So would any man who dares call himself a man…many people in this country have paid the price before me and many will pay the price after me—Assortments of quotes from Nelson Mandela.

In the view of mentioned topic and counter-political discourses that surfaced the Republic of South Sudan, I would like to figure out the challenges that the new country will be going through in the upcoming election 2015. Will the transfer of leadership and internal transformation be peaceful in the SPLM? There are serious questions on the organisional structure within the SPLM demonstrated very clearly by corruptions, which rocketed higher from top SPLM Ministerial post holders. $4billion of public money went missing and alleged combination of SSP and $ 6million stolen from the President’s office. In the light of the above, the SPLM need to restore and refine its direction and vision.

There is outcry from grassroots constituencies calling for just and equal distribution of wealth because those who were entrusted to be representing them in the national parliaments and states seem to divert the communities’ development funds to their personal benefits. The question lingering in one’s mind is will there be free and fair election in order to secure their votes in the upcoming elections?  Their worries are; the permanent constitution of Republic of South Sudan is not rectified and nobody knows when it will be enacted to laws. The nature of election will be met by frauds, rigging since there are no laws to govern and regulate its process.

Will South Sudanese political parties form a coalition to address the dominance of the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) in power? If these coalition parties and Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM) instigate intra and inter tribal violence as mean to get into power, the future of this nascent State will be in disaster. The population of South Sudanese is 8.2 million people according to the disputed 2008-population census, there is fear that the Politicians will influenced their tribes, since the majority of South Sudanese are not political oriented, and the atmosphere for conducting election will not be smooth and conducive. South Sudan constitutes up roughly about 64 tribes; taking these tribes for guaranteed will be political suicidal. Much need to be taken into consideration before things burst out.

What mystical power gives to leader of persistence the capacities to master difficulties and make a genuine change in his country? South Sudan is endowed with natural resources, oil, minerals, Animals and fertile land for Agricultural cultivations, if these resources are not optimized for the benefit of its people will turn to curse rather than blessing!
