Jan 02, 2016 (Nyamilepedia) —- Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission led by former Botswana president Festus Gontebanye Mogae will convene a meeting on 6th of this month in the matters of the South Sudan peace Agreement Implementation Process signed in August by the warrying factions, a reliable source who spoke to Nyamilepedia Correspondent on Saturday revealed.

“JMEC is meeting on 6th Jan, Ministerial composition and Constitution should be ready by 4th January 2016; the issue of newly created 28 states is not part of the Arrangement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan (ARCISS), 28 states will not be part of the implementation modularity from 6th Jan 2016,” Peter Kleto, member of armed opposition appointed as Deputy Ambassador to Republic of Tanzania told Nyamilepedia.

Since the arrival of SPLM-IO Advance Team led by Chief Negotiator Gen Taban Deng Gai, there have been several meetings on the reforms.

The Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission didn’t accept the proposed 28 states and they will bring down the peace if they are to be implemented, ARCISS was based on what was agreed upon by the Parties to the conflict based on 10 States in August last year.

“ARCISS was very clear, Oder of 28 states was designed by GRSS to kill the peace, and nobody likes the implementation of 28 states with exception of those who created them. Peace will be implemented without 28 tribal states because the Agreement was reached based on the original 10 states,” a senior government official who asked her name not to be mentioned due to fear of her life explained when contacted by Nyamilepedia.

Several sources also disputed and trashed the logic behind creation of 28 states whereas some believed that the GRSS is pushing for 28 states to be incorporated in to the Agreement.

However, president of South Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit on Friday morning sent a message of peace to people of South Sudan. In his message he declared general amnesty to all those who took up arms against the state, officially welcomed the SPLM/SPLA-IO Advance Team to the National Capital Juba, appreciated the commitment and the dedication of the SPLM-IO to the Peace Agreement and its implementation.

“There is no government and opposition. We are all one people,” President Salva Kiir Mayardit said as he addressed the nation.

This change of attitude by president seems to be in line with International Pressure on both the SPLM-IO and the government. This is the first time for the South Sudan president to openly express his will on peace.

“Consultation is goings-on as to what ministerial portfolio each side will carry and who the ministers are; that does not necessarily mean if you are a chairman or a deputy of a committee you will automatically become one,” explained Ambassador Kleto.

South Sudanese across the globe continue to ask their leaders to quickly implement peace agreement so that the youngest nation torn by war can be quickly rebuilt.

The creation of 28 states in the new born nation does not means, development or the promotion of the development in the country. it is an other way of violating ceasefire agreement. And unto now, they are not and will never be activated.

There is no one who can remove my newly created state.

The new governor is already on the ground, doing a superb job with the locals.I don’t share my state with any moron who opposses it. My geographical position always puts my state in the best advantage over the enemies ranging from Khartoum regimes to rebels.

Whether my state is not a part of JMEC meeting or it is its part doesn’t matter as nothing affects my state so far.

Anybody that will tell us to stop building our new state will be just wasting his/her time,as we are already in the minds that can’t turn back.

We will deal with any one who will try to violently confront us an unequivocally and perminantly, with all the consequences spelling out that he or she has lost the fight to us in the end.

Tulio, South Sudanese are fed up of people like you, and are ready to face you thugs once the government fail to implement peace. You people have failed the country and have proved to the whole world how corrupt you are, from the so called president to a lay men in the cattle camp. Prepare to go back to your state

If you choose a ‘gate of hell’ rather than a ‘ gate peace’ at this time, I predict that, 2013 which you claimed 20,000 Nuer were killed, will be better.

No 70% armed soldiers of Nuer origin in national army as Riek claimed in 2013.
So, keep silence and accept whatever government says, otherwise Riek himself will smell the gate of hell at this time.

South Sudan is for all South Sudanese and one person can’t stirred the entire nation into fire. Government, nowadays, is trying to ensure that you and your UN will not have upper hand again like 2013.

This is a fake peace and a such will be deal accordingly.

There is pardon to everyone who took up arm against the government of the Republic of South Sudan but there is no forgiveness for Riek Machar Teny and Johnson Olony; these people damaged South Sudan’s reputation internationally.

Gatgach,

You sounded so shallow in your reasoning. First off, nobody who decided to take up arm. The brave Nuer were forced to fight back against the government who planned to murder them from house to house. Dr. Riek Machar stood up to fight against Salva Kill and his JCE who behave like they own South Sudan. If the Nuer were not murdered in Juba do you think that there would have a war in South Sudan?

Salva Kiir started the fight foolishly by murdering the Nuer and expected them to be silenced. There is an African culture that says that you touch my brother, I will get you. Salva Kiir touches Nuer, Dr. Riek Machar teaches him a lesson that Salva will never forget. The Nuer a lone has defeated South Sudan government until the government called Ugandan to help. It is so shameful for the government forces to be defeated by white arm. Salva kiir and his JCE have no other options so they have to accept peace agreement that Salva reforced to sign but he was forced by the rebel to sign peace because he cannot them defeated militarily. JCE are just talking with their big mouths but they cannot face the Nuer Nation.
