April 13, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– Briefing the SPLA-IO Military Command Council, the Chief of General Staff of SPLA-IO, 1st Lt. Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual, urges his officers to ignore his counterpart, Gen. Paul Malong Awan, who commands SPLA-IG forces, for his recent statements.

Reminding the military command council, Gen. Gatwech reiterates that his partner in peace can say anything as long as the Ugandan mercenaries are still sabotaging South Sudan sovereignty, a story he relates to that of a little child who can say anything at the presence of his parents.

“Malong will keep talking like that as long as he still see his hired Ugandans foreign forces still in the country.” Said the SPLA-IO CoGS, 1st Lt. Gen. Gatwech Dual.

“He should not talk like a kid who does not know what he is talking about,he should behave like a grown up person and as human being.” he continued.

Gatwech, a senior general who has fought in the battle fields for over 40 years, reminded his officers that war is not good but they must not entertain propaganda and lies, saying that if Malong was brave enough, why did he hire Ugandans to fight his war but still failed to conquer poorly armed and divided minorities in Upper Nile.

“do not considered lies and propagandas, if war is good why bringing others to fight for him?” Gatwech said adding that the government must not turn against civilians in Wau and Western Equatoria.

Gen. Gatwech urges SPLA-IO in Juba and around South Sudan to ignore Malong’s hate remarks in the interest of peace implementation, saying the SPLA-IO are already in Juba and all over the country.
