June 28, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— In a similar incident to December 2013 infighting within the presidential guards, the Chief of General Staffs for SPLA loyal to president Salva Kiir Mayardit, Gen. Paul Malong Awan ordered an arrest of Wau State Governor and disarmament of his bodyguards.
In the arrest order, Gen. Malong clarified to his junior deputy that the order came from the President and must be carried out with immediate effect.
In a few words, without further justification, Gen. Malong ordered his righthand deputy chief of staff for operation, Lt. Gen. Magar Buong Aluenge, to carry out Salva Kiir’s  directives immediately, saying:
“As per the commander in Chief (C-in-C) directives, I am hereby directing you to immediately arrest Lt. Gen. Elias Waya Nyipoc, the former sack governor of Wau State, and place under closed arrest”. Gen. Paul Malong Awan ordered Lt. Gen. Magar
“All his bodyguards must be disarmed” Malong continued.
President Salva Kiir created Wau State on October 2nd, 2015 as part of 28 states in violation of the constitution and also contrary to the Peace Agreement he signed in August that year.
The 28 states were meant to consolidate power and unite the Dinka community under Salva Kiir leadership, however, as times goes by the consequences, divisions and conflicts have increased especially within the newly created states over border issues, land alienation and leadership.
Like Malakal, which is inhabited by diverse communities, Wau became a centre of controversy as all communities especially the Dinka, Balanda and Fertites – call it their ancestral home.
The fighting within the last 5 days has set the minority communities against the Dinka-Nuer dominated SPLA in Wester Bhar el Ghazal region.
Although president Kiir has remained silence, 10 of thousands of civilians have been displaced and many others killed or wounded in Wau town alone.
A similar incident in Raja, fitting the same groups against one another, over the issue of 28 states preceded the fighting and displacement of civilians in Wau.
So far, SPLM/SPLA in Opposition and other parties have not come out openly to condemn the targeted killing of civilians in Wau town.

So what next since John’Garang himself was a body language.
Mr. President, why punish people that supported the movement all these years. During the struggle Mr. President, the entire population (all tribes) supported the movement with whatever means at their disposal (food, intelligence, human sacrifice etc). Is it not time to give back. You must fight the self serving elite of your government not the people that supported you.
It is never late to correct its mistakes, Mr. President please do not turn your back to your people. You belong to South Sudan, South Sudan does not belong to you.
