April 6, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — As many parts of the world commemorate Easter holiday, military confrontations, raids and communal feuds continue to escalate in government controlled zones in Upper Nile, Lake, Warrap and Central Equatoria State.

In Upper Nile state, fighting between the government troops and allied militias, under the leadership of Maj. Gen. Joseph Olony of South Sudan Democratic Movement (SSDM) continues to reign in Chollo kingdom.

Within the last five days, the SSDM and the minority Shilluck (Chollo) tribe have lost the second in command, Gen. James Bwogo Olew, his twelve (12) body guards, three (3) UN-World Food Program staffs and bridge engineers between Akoka and Malakal.

Gen. Obwogo was instantly killed on the first day, on April 1st, in an ambush laid by the government troops. The two groups-turned-foes had fought together for the last 15 months against the defected faction under the former vice president, Dr. Riek Machar Teny.

According to military sources, the ambush targeted the militia leader, Maj. Gen. Joseph Olony, who has fought the government from 2010 to 2013. Gen. Olony was recently accused by UK and partners of terrorism for recruiting child soldiers in Upper Nile, a call that was partially supported by Juba.

Gen. Olony was to be summoned at the army headquarters, Bilpam, in Juba last month for recruiting more than one hundred children in Upper Nile state to help the presidential guards and other allied groups to recapture Wadakona and Akoka counties from the rebels faction.

Although the yesterday fighting between the two groups subsided after a retaliatory attack by the militia was defeated to the West Bank by the government troops, numerous raids and indiscriminate killing of traders and civilians from the Chollo and Dinka Padang ethnic groups is still reported in Malakal, Melut, Tonja, Penyikang, Piji and Warjouk.

Latest reports from West Bank, allege that more than 600 troops under Col. Canwjuok Othow from Chollo has defected to join the SPLA/SPLM-IO. Attempts from Juba to reconcile the forces have so far failed.

Warrap State

In Warrap state, an inter-communal feuds between the Apuk Giir Thiik and Aguok sub-tribes of Dinka Community, yesterday, has left at least three dead and many others wounded.

Reliable sources verified that two people were killed from Aguok’s side, and one from Apuk while many others were injured from both sides.

The cause of the fighting between the two communities is yet to be identified, however, Aguok and Apuk communities have fought severally in the recent past.

Lake State:

In Lake state, a government official has confirmed that six policemen were shot dead on Sunday morning at around 4am by a fellow policeman.

According to the official, the assailant was also killed by other policemen who witnessed the tragic event. More than five other policemen were reportedly wounded.

The police force in Lake state had strike, fought the army and also fought armed youth in the state. Lake has been one of the most volatiles states in the country for the past two years.

Central Equatoria:

In Central Equatoria, which hosts the national capital, raids and violence have ragged the outskirts of Juba, particularly at Jopa village. One person was reportedly killed, and many tukuls were burnt to ashes by a group of disgruntled Mundari youth.

According to Mundari chiefs, the youth were angered by attack on their cattle camps by a group that involved uniformed SPLA [Juba] soldiers.

The community accuses SPLA-juba of taking sides in issues that fit the host community against settled IDPs from Jonglei state.

Those Dinka communities of Apuk and Aguok fight for years and later settle their differences. Their counties have to solved those problems or allow them to kill them.

There was no Gov’t in South Sudan since July 2013 when the all cabinet were dissolved by they President for one month. What has remain now is the tribal and genocidal gov’t for killing of South Sudanes citizens to build Dinkas and M7 kingdom in South Sudan. Now it is a turn of Shilluk cleansing after Nuer and Equatorian will be follow Shilluk and the rest other tribes are watching without reaction.I therefore call upon the rest South Sudanes tribes to join the resistant movement to kick out these tribal regime in South Sudan once and for all inorder to live in the new era of peace, harmony and prosperity in the World newest nation

Collo community is entering in the war that has no purpose and they cannot afford either. If the tiny portion of Dinka in the Upper Nile state is defeating the entire Collo community in the Collo kingdom, will Collo survive 2 hours battle with all Dinka plus Museveni forces?

Collo Major general Mr. Oliny has been heavily bribed by Kiir’s genocidal regime to fight his friends and exceptional Nuer Neighbors, but now Collo community is paying the cost of their bribery after pushing Nuer rebels back from Wadakona in favor of genocidal regime.

As you articulated Mr Bentiu Ramaran, they are indeed “friends and exceptional Nuer Neighbors” peaceful co-existence for these communities is crucial. Bor of Jonglei are yet to learn this foreign concept of a phenomenal like most Jaang communities

That is a blood of innocence children who was forcefully recruited to fight IO but got killed in Wedakona and Kaka area. Dinka kingdom days are numbered, there is no Goberment forces anymore. Juba is made up of many militia (Mathiang Anyor, Gwelweng, Lead by Paul Malong, Cobra force lead by David Yayaw, Dinka Padang Youth lead by Stephen Dhiew Daw, SSA lead by Bapiny Monytuel, SSDM lead by Johnson Oliny, UPDF lead by M7, Bor youth lead by Michael Makuei Lueth) We remain with only White army and SPLA -IO as a national army! LET SOUL OF THOSE INNOCENCE UN-WFP STAFS REST IN PEACE! You already achieve your noble goal (saving live of Dinka in Melut)

The fighting every where in the government controlled areas indicates the lack of government of South Sudan of maintaining the country’s security. If the current government does’nt bring back the Peace into the country many tribes including some Dinka which are not yet pick the gun will raise against the government and they will join the SPLA-IO to fight the government. The government will encounter a serious problem unless the Peaces is signed in Addissababa for the coming peace talk in the mid-of April with the rebel. The people of South Sudan have tired of reluctand government which does’nt work for the development and not caring for the Life of its Citizens. I am afraid, if Kirr and his cohorts would not accept to sign the last Peace talk in the coming Peace talk, Kirr will face sanction from some of the western countries and he will not escape like Gadaafi who died in the Power. Kirr is a wise man and I do not Think that he will allow such a bad history happen to him and his administration.

I agree with you brother, the Collo community will blame no one for their death, but tones of money pay to them through Johnson Olony, Dr. Okuk, and Edward.

A call for a praying and action about South Sudan problem

There are not things left that we could pay attention or wait to let this time go without doing some things that can help our country to join their hands and allow peace to move in the country. Every day, the situation in South Sudan is violently increased and many people lost their lives day. There is no time left to wait and let our people died and not saying enough is enough. We are the citizens of this new nation who are responsible to judge between good and wrong.
Stand up people of South Sudan!!! Let us help our country to forgive and resolve all this issued that prevent them from coming together.
It is my prayer that today and tomorrow God will change this violent into a peaceful condition where others people who are now laughing at us would feel sorry for their delay and their involving in the violent. Let the people of South Sudan determine their destiny
There is always a time for war and there is time for peace. People of South Sudan had been fighting for the last 15 months, and yet they did not achieved anything.
Today, would be better if South Sudan leadership would look back and see that all their people including their generals are not there behind them.
Let enough be enough, and let peace replace the hatred that the devil had planted into the heart of the brothers who been fighting their freedom together for the last 21 years with Khartoum government!!
