October 11, 2015 (Nyamilepedia) – The Paramount Chiefs and Community of Raga county have blasted the formation of new states by President Kiir which puts Raga County under dinka of Aweil in Northern Bahr El Ghazal, saying Raga is a separate region with no connections whatsoever to Aweil and Northern Bahr El Ghazal.
President Kiir issues a presidential order last week creating 28 State in South Sudan unconstitutionally and without consultation with any political parties or the Parliament.
The decree place Raga county which is part of Western Bahr El Ghazal and the biggest county in South Sudan under the smallest county of Aweil North.
The order which has been blasted by the Raga community renamed Raga “Lol” state. giving it a Dinka name.
Meanwhile the Governor of Western Bahr El Ghazal Rizik Zachariah Hassan says he has raised the issue with President Salva Kiir of their county of Raga being annexed and placed under Dinka authority without their consultation, warning that Raga community rejected such decree.
“I have presented my complaint that Raga should be a separate state from “Lol”, this is what I met president about and there are some steps going on. I will tell you the detail tomorrow” Governor Rizik told his state cabinet in Wau.
The governor said Raga County should be a separate state just as it has been a separate county from Aweil or Nortothern Bahr El Ghazal.
The Chiefs of Raga County said they were surprised to see their county annexed to Northern Bahr El Ghazal’s Aweil North and West State and given a new dinka name “Lol State” without their consultation or even knowledge of the new state, therefore they reject the Presidential decree which they described as tribal and biased.
The chiefs who say they support creation of more states for Federal system, however warned that any further actions to force their county and community under the new “Lol State” will result in conflict between Raga Community and Dinka of Northern Bahr El Ghazal.

Too late chiefs to finally notice the Dinkas’ master plans to eminently annexes and occupies others tribes’ lands. It would takes more than complaints and cheap talks to get your mother’s land back period. The one way to prevent such annexation and permanent occupation of your land by the incompetent killer Kiir’s kinsmen is to join the freedom fighters’ movement (SPLA-IO) and actually sacrifice for your birth rights! Hard and risky decision, but it would eventually frees you and your future offsprings from the eternity danger you will and shall face if you proscrascinates to act now period.
Those people are part of Aweil and i think main Raga county should move on with Western Bhar El Ghazal full stop.
That part of Raga County which president Kiir puts or annexed with Aweil Northern El Ghazal are integrated with Dinka for years. I don’t think they will accepted that,it is a gone case.
