This was preceded by the IGAD-PLUS Consultation that was held from 21 to 23 July 2015, during which the IGAD–PLUS Special Envoys and Representatives unanimously endorsed the Proposed Compromise Agreement and expressed their full support for its implementation.

The South Sudanese Parties and Stakeholders are now expected to go back and consult with their respective leadership and resume negotiations on 5th August 2015 here in Addis Ababa.
