Jan 28, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —- This evening calm returned to Gambela, the capital of Gambela region of Western Ethiopia, after hours of shooting in the early morning of Thursday, today.
On Thursdays morning Anyuak Militiamen, armed with guns and bombs, threw a bomb at Nuer students in medical college in Gambella but none of them was hurt.
The college situated in an area populated by the Anyuak ethnic group was immediately closed down for security purpose and the students were evacuated for their safety.
Nyamilepedia Correspondent in the town, speaking to former Minister of Justice in Gambella, Thomas Tut Puok, on the latest development was assured that the situation is calm but still being monitored.
“This is not the first time such an incidence occurred. But the government is in full control of the situation.” Hon Tut said.
According to the latest reports, many unknown people were killed on the Nuer side during the day shooting by the Anyuak militiamen and one of the victim is believe to be a local Minister for Road and Tranport In Gambella.
The early reports suggests that a bus was attacked by Anyuak militiamen on its way to Addis Ababa but that story turned out not to be true but the Federal Police took the control of the major highway around the region.
Gambella region is one of the most fast developing regions in Ethiopia under the Governor Ato Gatluak Tut Koat.
Considering the strategic location of the region for Ethiopia National security, any instability can poster a bigger threats to the economic development of the country.
Gambella is inhabited by five tribes which have been living together peacefully though with a few incidents like these have been recorded in the past.
The largest ethnic group in Gambela is Nuer followed by Anyuak, Oppo, Majenger and Komo.
Amaharic is the national language and most commonly spoken language in the region by all the ethnic groups, and the Nuer Language came second.
Calls to speak to the president of the region were not returned by the time of this report as the president was out of the town for government mission.

NUER tribes are well-thinkers, merciful, and kindness people, but unfortunately they have been encircled/neighbored by evil people (Anyuaks) in western part of Ethiopia, Gambella state. Nuers are actually good men who can trust you when agree on something without doubt and they plan evil against no one. Nuers can trust you and give you headship that they may convert you to their cultures, but because of your arrogant in leadership you can lose it miserably without getting it again. All I am saying are true and must be documented if anyone is honest to himself. Anyuak will pluck out their eyes this time in this fighting. No one will understand their ululations anyway because they are evil people ever.
Saliva Kiir and his regime are planning to destabilize the Gambella region where the inhabitant majority are the nuer ethnic population. Saliva Kiir and his arming Anyuak tribes to destabilize and kill the Nuers.
Anyuaks should emmidiately adopt policies of peaceful coexistence with the Nuers & other tribes within the region 12 and South Sudan in general. History has proven that Anyuaks has incurred more than necessary losses due to their aggressive murderous nature of dealing with the Nuers.The same advise could extend to other tribes neighboring Nuers. The bruns of Maiwut are the next to vacate lands if their unnecessary aggressions towards Nuers persist.
Its quite unfortunate that all these coward tribes are gathering against Nuers foolishly believing that Jaang will win this war. Never the less the end to this war is not foreseeable.

Great points…… This article is more than a lie by refugees…. Nuers absolutely forgot that they are living as just citizen without owning any piece of land in Ethiopia…. Anywaa never border with Nuers at all but they came in 1900s as nomadic begging for grazing field for cows. They forgot what Anywaa people as done for them… for this reason Anywaa can not be blame if they kicked out all Nuers from their land….. these savage must go back to their land..
Lol Nuers sound like they are talking with their anus, far away from truths. First if all Anthems do not have any weapons… all farmers were disarmed by TPLF regime while refugees Nuers are arm to their teeth. Second, Nuers are not natives of Gambela nor do they used to border with Anyuak. Nuers don’t own any piece of land in Gambela at all. All of Nuers are refugees but with cattle -minded you forgot that you are living in someone house/land…. There is no civilized people like Anyuak and Anyuaks kingdoms are the center of civilization that been having rule of laws from generations to generations. Stop bringing lies. Nuers of Ethiopia were not that much than Anuaks whom you put in second. The influx of nuer from sudan war affected area has triple the number of nuer in Gambela. Nuers wherever they go they creat problems. They have differences with Dinka, Murle and Anuaks. If we continue having differences with this three major communities, whom are we standing with? Stop bringing lies. Soldiers loyal to Rick machar from sudan are the one causing too much problems in Gambela. Galuak tut is no longer a president of Gambela even his vice is out. Gambela is rule by federal government now and federal government police are the only one patrolling the town. Gambela is failed state. Nuers have no leaders and have no good thinking about the future.
I am sorry that the Nuers brothers have become so problematic in South Sudan and the Neighboring. Regions. Siting on War and Sleeping on the war. This is ridiculous indeed! Anyuak should wash out. Let Riak call his IGAD again such that they installed Nuers to be the owners of Gambella Region if he is a man.
