Nov 27, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — Troubled, the South Sudan’s Chief of SPLA [Juba], Gen. Paul Malong Awan, “in consultations with President Salva Kiir”, issued an arrest warrant for a young lieutenant colonel who hesitated to attack the enemy’s positions in Eastern Equatoria.

Lt.Col. Deng Ajak, now serving arrest in Juba, was expected to carry out attacks on SPLM/SPLA-IO positions this month in the hills of Eastern Equatoria State, a duty he willingly declined.

According to credible insiders, Lt. Col. Deng Ajak questioned why he should carry out attacks in an area that has been relatively calm for the past two years, urging that the two sides should implement the peace agreement instead to restore stability.

“Refusing to violate the compromise peace agreement”, the young colonel was labelled as a “coward rebel” and arrested instantly.

Per an anonymous report coming from the president’s office, Gen. Paul Malong, who is angered by the SPLA-IO establishing camps in strategic areas near Juba and adjacent to Juba-Nimule road, Malong ordered Lt. Col. Ajak to launch a military campaign to suppress the growing resistance, particularly from Magwi county of Eastern Equatoria state; however, Col. Ajak questions the wisdom behind such orders.

In the document, Ajak reportedly stated “peace has been signed and the opposition is allowed to be within their camps and why dislodge them […] killing all the current rebels is not possible and when it becomes possible, more rebels will surface and such circle of death and rebellion will continue to generate itself. We shall only create tough insurgencies in the region and particularly along Juba Nimule Road.”

To his colleagues, who declined to be named, Ajak was not speaking in regular Dinka language; neither of the self-educated general Malong nor Salva Kiir comprehended what he meant. Instead he had to be arrested for speaking like a rebel to his commanders in Chief.

Col. Ajak reportedly pointed out that, the attack on Wonduruba has now made Juba-Yei road unsafe, saying “the scenario must be avoided along Juba Nimule road at all cost, as it is the lifeline for Juba.”

He concludes the accused “Equatorians youth” in these camps have done nothing wrong and at this time when peace deal is in effect, attacking them will be a mistake.

Malong felt defied by the Lt. Col. and ran out of military vocabularies. He ordered that Ajak must be arrested and tried for disobeying his superiors.

The report indicated that Salva Kiir, however, compromised with Malong’s orders.

Per the informants there are many Generals from within the president’s ethnic groups who disagree with the agendas of Paul Malong and the JCE and the violations of the peace deal and would like peace to return in the country. However, the interest of this group is overshadowed by those of Paul Malong, Salva Kiir, Makuei and a few others who control the resources and the media.

The act of young South Sudanese, like Col. Ajak, has pushed Salva Kiir government to rely on Ugandans, Sudanese, Chinese and Peace keepers to sustain a minimal peace in the country.

While the country’s economy is collapsing, South Sudan is ranked at the front page of the most corrupt countries and least peaceful country in the world.

Its capital, Juba, is the most expensive city, according to 2015 most expensive cities ranking, however, these are not good enough reasons for extremist like Gen. Malong and the Dinka Council of Elders, whose Mr. Kiir depends on, to implement a peace deal that was signed in August this year.

Author’s note:

At South Sudan Liberty News, we are encourage by a bold voice of reason from Patriots like Deng Ajak. We call on Kiir to listen to voices of reasons from Patriots like Deng rather than the likes of Malignant Malong and the tribal JCE who for sure shall drag this country into hell and careless about. It is your presidency Mr. President not theirs! The People of South Sudan had trusted you, not these people who have ruined your legacy.

We salute Deng Ajak for speaking for peace and we urge kiir to release him and let him perform his patriotic duties.

I am wonder why some people from Equatoria rebel against all Dinka tribe, while government of South Sudan is not Dinka government. If their assumptions was that President Salva is Dinka therefore they thinks that by rebelling and targeting one tribe in stead of targeting government of South Sudan these does not work at all. Do you thinks Reik Machar would rule South Sudan with his Nuer tribe government so called SPLA -IO or Equatoria government without Dinka tribe or 62 tribes. We have to focus on peaceful South Sudan not to preach drum of war against each tribes.

Col.Deng Ajak can’t refuse to go to the war because he had sword before God that he will defend South Sudan. It was his choice to join the ARMY. It is not Malong Awan problem, but South Sudan,Kiir is good because there is no military court. South Sudan become so stupid when everybody want to form its own rebellion.

Government launched multiple attack at splm in opposition, but your a typical dinka who try to support incompetent government. I think the incumbent government failed the people of South Sudan and for the supporters you need to change your mind because the days of embrace the power are numbers.

Thank you Lokiden, now the many jenge like baaaaaak and majokdit are asking many questiosm including why people hate jenge. hahahahahaha, majokdit and baaaak please make a good research and find out why all the 63 tribes of this country hate you.

Infact there is no need to worry. As we forced this peace to jenge, we will still force them to accept that the government belongs to all of us. We force them to accep FEDERAL RULE so that they move their dirty nyalama from GREATER EQUATORIA.

I have met so many good Dinkas,so good Nuers and many good ladies and gentlements from the other tribes in my life, they poses good motives for this country. what we need to avoid is generalising and condemning tribes or regions for individual actions. especially we youth of today, the future of this country belongs to all of us. we should struggle and work hard to forge ways of how we can live peacefully together as Equotorians, Bargazalians and uppernilians to give development a chance. This is very important for all youth to understand that, the most important thing we need today is good roads, good hospitals, good schools and enough food for all us to enjoy the fruit of our natural resources.

We young people have the ability to shape the fate of this country but we have chained ourselves to our own egoistic thoughts, actions and traditions. we are strong, Educated organized sober and alert. what we need to learn to tell our leaders the wrong things on their face and let swallow it or spit it. Nothing should hinder us from telling our elders the truth and the evils of tribalism and regionalism. we are already tired of pouring blood of our own brothers, we are tired of cutting the limbs of our own brothers and now is the time to embrace peace as one youth and elders of south Sudan. Whatever we want to accomplish is possible with possibility thinking as youth of south Sudan. unity in diversity should be our motto.

Mr. Sambala, it is very nice to hear all these advices and encouraging comments from you and in this way you are contributing positively and encouraging our leaders and politicians to bring peace back to our country. Where are all young educated and intellectual Dinkas letting their old people distorting the facts and employing the evil force of tribalism which is tearing our country apart and these old people who are deluding themselves of creating Drinka supper dominant tribe in South Sudan are creating the opposite and hatred for their people.
