Nov 30, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — On behalf of the Chapter office of SPLM IO and on my own behalf, I would like to applauded this fabulous even, the appointment of Cde Dr. Dhieu Mathok Diing Wol with fresh aptitude as a new secretary General of SPLM IO Party. Our stake in the Chapter office in Addis Ababa has plausibly and dearly welcomed this effort done by our Chairman Dr Riek Machar Teng in advancement of unity, equality and good governance in our offices representations in the government. The appointment of Secretary General is a paramount beginning in our political endeavor to grantee hope, foster unity and retains the lost political direction to our people of South Sudan. This outstanding and capable leadership under our visionary leader Dr Riek Machar Teng with the help of Cde Dr. Dhieu Mathok Diing is believed to bring in a significant and tremendous changes that may held those political wounds which were inflicted by our enemies of peace and unity on our people of south Sudan.

Secondly, the recent unilateral constitution amendment that Kiir government made through it puppet parliament is an outrageous act that not only will impede the spirit required for the implementation of the recent compromised peace agreement but also increase tribal tensions that also aggravate the existing community and tribal conflicts on resources sharing.

The unilateral amendment that provides Kiir with unlimited powers to rule country with degrees as personal entity is by far an act of dictatorship that ought to be condemned and be isolated by the people of South Sudan. We, the SPLM Chapter in Addis Ababa do hereby extended this message to denounce what Kiir and his government did in Juba on Thursday is an act of clear violation of the peace agreement that is awaiting full implementation by the end of Dec 2015.

Kiir and his government do not see the important of the recent compromised peace agreement as credible step to end the suffering of our people; that would brings back the country on the right track to development and prosperity. We call upon the people of South Sudan to ponder and try to frame the better way forward and see into it that Kiir and his cliques aren’t happy to see country getting back to its previous level of peaceful coexistence as this threatens their very existence in public offices.

We, in the SPLM chapter in Addis have also registered our much deserved thanks and appreciation to the Nuer, Shilluk and Equatorians MPs that took bold and altruistic decision to have walked out of the parliament and the decision that would in a very near future flounder country into the next phase of imminent chaos and put tribes on loggerhead was made while out of the parliament hall.

With this, we call upon people of good will through South Sudan friends in the region as well as in the wider international community the Toirka countries, Eu, Au, China and IGAD to heed to this call to pressure on Kiir and his government to revoke this constitution amendment and refrain from activities that perpetuate further suffering of our people. Juba government is doing hide and seek game and South Sudanese must come out with their head up to denounce any delude and mischievous activities that will derail peace implementation.

Thanks and may god bless South Sudan!
