Sept 15, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — South Sudan’s former Vice President and the designated First Vice President of the upcoming Transitional Government of National Unity, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, has led a high-level delegation to Khartoum, Sudan, this evening.

“Comrade Chairman and Commander-in-Chief of SPLM/SPLA, Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon, has left for the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, on Tuesday evening.” Said James Gatdet Dak, the Press Secretary of SPLM/SPLA Chairman.

According to James Gatdet, Dr. Machar leads a high-level delegation of 20 members to meet the Sudanese President, Omar Hassan el Bashir.

“He will meet with President Omer Hassan Al Bashir.” Dak said.

The chairman of the armed Opposition is also expected to meet with the Ugandan President, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

According to Dr. Machar’s office, the three leaders will discuss issues pertaining to the implementation of the Peace Agreement in South Sudan and promotion of mutual relations between their parties.

The high-level meeting between the tough rivals was reportedly initiated and coordinated by the Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, who has made several attempts in the past to meet Dr. Machar.

Despite that Museveni has battalions of troops fighting along Salva Kiir forces in South Sudan conflict, the Ugandan president was among the first regional leaders to invite Dr. Machar to his capital in May 2014.

After Machar declined to meet President Museveni, Ugandan officials threatened to isolate Dr. Riek Machar and SPLM/SPLA[IO] in the region unless the chairman heeds to their call.

In return, the Ugandan president refused to meet a high-level delegation led by Machar’s deputy, Lt. Gen Alfred Lado in June that year.

The two sides, however, have normalized their relations.

Notwithstanding that the rebel movement has set up a head office in Kampala, SPLM/SPLA [IO] leaders have met President Museveni at least three times in the last one year.

After Khartoum, Machar is expected to lead a similar delegation to New York to attend a high-level meeting on South Sudan at the sideline of UN General Assembly on 29th this month.

The South Sudanese president, Mr. Salva Kiir, will miss the two meetings which are intended to boost the implementation of peace agreement in the war-torn nation.

For your information, Riek will not make it as president with Malong and rest still alive. Nuer will have to fight to the last man or call for separate nation. I am not a fan of Kiir leadership nor do I place no leadership value in Riek.

Riek is going from here and there thinking coaxing everyone for his acceptance but he does not realize the hardest task within; implementing the imposed peace.

A different Nuer will rule but not Riek or else we will somalized South Sudan. I am sure no one will forgive Riek after killing whole bunch of people in 90s and 2000s.

The West is thinking of having found a democratic leader only to be disappointed afterwards. For Riek is likely to fail or has already failed. The guy has no calibre to lead any nations except Nuer who prefer not to question him and his moves.

Dr Riek is a confused guy. He ran away from Garang and joined Bashir in 1991.He then left Bashir and back to Garang. Now left Salva and back to Bashir. What sort of person does that?

You know why Bashir receives him? Bashir knows South Sudan is an independent country and the best way he can benefit from our crude oil revenues is hosting Riek and giving him military support that engages Salva Kiir government in fighting Riek’s forces while no one bothers Bashir about the needs for resolving status of Abyei, renogiations of oil pipelines fee charges and border demarcations.

Bashir does not care about Riek or his diplomacy. He cares about instability of South Sudan as the only way to keep South Sudanese off his back as well as his own Sudanese who would have bothered him about poor economy at a time that he is battling with his home grown rebels and ICC arrest warrant.

Dec15/2013 was not cused by Bashir but Kiir alone and his JCE. If Machar capitaizes on that event, well then you should blame Juba. The 91 this and that and Machar went to Bashir and Khartoum this day and that day are of historical events without any moral significant in search for peace. How many time has the Jaang masscred, attemptd ethnic cleansing and ntentionally mass displaced other tribes during Garang dictatorship rule…that happened quite alot in every corner of South Sudan yet that does not make Garang a traitor, tribalists, visionless, & all the other classifications that comes along with such a outta whack leadership style. Do you thinkl Kiir cares more about South Sudan than Bashir? I dont think so. The amount of attrocities Kiir and his forces has commited since Dec/15/2013 is more than what Bashir has done to South Sudan in all his reign. As a matter of fact Bashir would want a peaceful South Sudan to prolong his rule and syphone more oil from primitive Kiir without any nagging from influx of South Sudan dispaced citizens by their millions. Your going against the current dude. I wish Machar becomes your president so you can experience the differences of a primitive tribal chief to that of slightly educated individual; thank God, Machar is quite educated. Oil revenue has been misused since 2005 and sadly you blame that on Machar, Nuers, and Bashir. What an ilogical scum bag way to reasoned.

Foolishness man is talking like that. Any way, let see, If M7 withdraw is troops and his war materials from Juba then we are going to see how stupidity mind Paul Malong will achieve dumber goals without help from another Country. For your information silly minds. Republic of South Sudan is stand with its root alone when whole say say say enough enough enough then your dumber nowhere to go. for example, if Khartoum stopping oil where else you can get money.

Riek cannot stand on his own without Bashir support.

Stop talking about Uganda’s support to Juba.

Riek has Bashir as an ally and so has Salva Mseveni as a friend.

By the way Malong and Salva stood with John Garang alone against Riek and Bashir forces without Ugandan soldiers on our soil between 1991 and 2002.

Dr Riek Machar is not fighting to be president you fool. He is a man of high moral standard. Matured people dont think of being president as the end of game like salva kiir. If people vote him, he will be a president if not he will not period. There is no other secrete to become a president. Whether he become a president or not, he has achieved alot for south sudan & if the agreement is fully implemented, you will see then what he means to south sudan.

Kokgic,
For your info, now a day it is not a matter of title but power responsibilities. Dr. Riak is tasked to implement CPA II and all institutional reforms including constitutional reform. Now it is upto him to give all powers to 1st Vice president and change the title to be prime minister like Meles Zenawi of Ethiopia did when Oromo were serous on president. Now Oromo has a president of Ethiopia but Title has been taken. Like Dinka, they will be given president as a Title forever but Powers will be given to Prime Minister which will be lead by Nuer

CPA-II, what an absurd reference! Nuers feel betrayed for backstabbing the moment in the 90s and so they want to find ways to install this garbage called CPA-II. That will not happen. We will fight it to the last man. The peace agreement that you guys are so jolly with will not work. All you have to do is to prepare for the real war.

Trying incorporate some western ideology without properly understanding them will be stupidest mistakes one can ever do. The so call democracy by Nuer is not going to work for Nuers themselves are not democratic in their culture. Your brutal culture will never give rooms for democracy to find roots.

For information, democracy is inseparable from the culture and so there are elements of any culture that if not pacified through, they will always be anti-democracy like Nuers’ does.

Stop spreading lies!

M7 is a changed man from that of 20+months ago. After all, M7 & his friend Kiir actually will succumbed to Machar & Bashiir for a peaceful dialogue. Who would have thought it could happened.
