April 15, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — Latest reports from Addis Ababa confirms that the son of Central Equatoria Governor, and a member of South Sudan Security Service, Capt. Joseph Clement Wani Konga, has arrived in Addis Ababa and declared loyalty to the Opposition under the former Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar Teny.

In a declaration statement extended to Nyamilepedia Press, Capt. Joseph  Clement Wani Konga, attests that the government of President Salva Kiir has lost legitimacy and must be changed to restore the country.

“The government has lost its legitimacy in my humble opinion due to its inability to provide most of the basic services to its suffering citizens.” Capt. Joseph Wani Konga said.

The young captain points at the humanitarian crisis, lack of services delivery, deterioration of economy, corruption, injustice and insecurity in the country as the major symptoms of a failed leadership.

“The rampant high level of insecurity, injustice and corruption are clear symptoms of a country that has lost leadership and direction”. Capt. Wani pledges.

“In these trying hours, South Sudan is at risk of total collapse as the current failed regime, in Juba, is not removed. The collapsing economy and lacks of visionary leadership are fast leading the country into abyss”. he adds.

The son of CES governor further decries the use of tribal sentiments by Salva Kiir leadership to maintain power. Capt. Wani warns of total disintegration and collapse of the World’s youngest state if Salva Kiir’s leadership is not changed.

“The Regime that has become morally bankrupt is using ethnic sentiments to cling to power. This will lead the country into total disintegration. Just as countries can come into existence, they can also be lost through bad leadership”. Capt. Wani said.

To fix the nation, the son of Maj. Gen. Clement Wani Konga calls on all citizens to rise and join the resistance to enforce the fundamental changes and reforms in all sectors in the country.

“I am therefore appealing to our citizens to rise up and join the people’s resistance, the SPLM/A-IO, which offers the only viable option for bringing the highly required fundamental changes and reforms in all sectors of our government” he said.

“Let’s joins hands to safe our nation” the son of governor appeals.

The defection of Capt.Joseph Clement Wani Konga came barely 24 hours after the three Equatorian Governors, including the renegade’s father, met the SPLM/SPLA [IO] delegation at Fairview Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, yesterday.

Whether the defection of Capt. Joseph Wani Konga has any correlation with the Nairobi summit between the Equatorian Governors and the SPLM-IO leadership is yet to be verified.

Within the last two weeks, young people and intellectuals from the three regions of South Sudan defected Salva Kiir government and declared loyalty to Dr. Machar’s leadership.

Among the recent defections are Mr. Medho Toung Medho, the Anyuak Youth representative in South Sudan and Diaspora, Cde Agel Ring Machar, a national youth leader, who hails from Dinka Warrap, and Brig. Gen. Gabriel Gatwech Puoch Maar, the younger brother to Upper Nile State governor, Simon Kun Puoch.

During a public briefing at Safari Park hotel in Nairobi in January this year, a defecting General and the former Director of South Sudan radio and Television, Gen. Khamis Abdel-Latif Chawoul Lom, pointed at his son as the reason for his defection, citing that the son was a loyalist of Dr. Riek Machar within the government.

In the latest reports, South Sudan economy has reached its weakest point since 2005. The consumer goods prices are skyrocketing and the South Sudanese Pound (SSP) is rapidly depreciating against the U.S dollar.

Dear Readers,
I am not really surprised…it Is usual we have seen this rebellions many times in the past, now and may be even in the near future…but only If their Mentalities change.
One thing I know is that this rebellion can not go far enough because they are all can not see far enough.

Dr. Riek Machar rebelled in 1991-2002 with 32,000 nuers left with SPLA heavy weapons.

1993,SPLA-Mudari soldiers joined Mr.Wani Konga’s militia supported by Arab regime in Khartoum any many other stabbed SPLA at back but all failed because Dinka Tribe of its majority never turn back and nothing happened, until CPA was achieved.

Remember, you are provoking young Dinkas ,and as soon as possible, all of you will face the consequences when they join government’s military training camps against rebels or whoever fighting RSS. Believe me, history is very clear.

Idealistically & strategically you are in the past subdued by your own beliefs that things must stay as you had experienced. Long gone the days of tribal hegemony practiced throughout the bloody 22 years of war as you are recalling. You are better off not hating and getting all confrontational but rather make peace with yourself & the people to save the little legacy of “UNITED SECULAR SUDAN” that is being rewritten. I told you once before that the history of South Sudan will be rewritten & that was not difficult to perceive. I advice you to attend the fourth of July & indulge in enjoyable recollections of past events. In another word.. go and reminisce you coward.

The governor has lost his mind, his legitimacy as a governor and his son’s support of his stands on the current issues facing the country.Thank God South Sudan still have people who sees things differently.Viewing things from a view point of a herds mentality, tribal nepotistic affiliations, blood & family ties no longer serves the greater purpose prospectively. Welcome the free thinkers and the youths to the other side where the grass has just started to green and will continue, so it is your moral obligation to respectfully agree to disagree with the stale ideologies of those antiques before you as you see fit. The shelves of olds & outdated characters with brut & primitive dictatorship tendencies will be packed with them soon.Congratulations to you all.

And the fight for democracy in South Sudan is not a Machar fight. It’s a fight for all South Sudanese.
It will empowers anyone who wish to seek office through the ballot box .And promote development and the rule of law.
South Sudan must be different from Sudan and,Uganda., And it is the prayer of the world for democracy to take hold of South Sudan

You forgot 15.000 dukubany trained by president salva kiir. they were the ones who carried out the massacre of Nuer in Juba, in December 2013. What happened when the Nuer white Army rouse up? you the dinka and your led government ran to your adapted dad yueri mueseveni, who rescued you from Nuer untrained White Army was able to get ride of general jongror between Juba and bor. Now, Juba airport and bor town are being guarded by updf, where are the dinkas you talked about? if they can not gaurd the government installations such as the airport, how will you be able to fight to defend the whole country? thanks James mulbar one think keeping kiir in power is that rebellion was poorly organized by that fake monster riek who pronounced the war a tribalic thing which eventually annoyed dinkas hence complication of the war. why shud we waste our energies fighting for the same tribal based rebellion. the answer to the stability of our nation is to screen out all the older group including machar & kiir and start a new government which comprises of young & educated youth to take our country forward but not certainly wasting time supporting marchar who I is fighting for nothing rather than the same dictatorship.

Reply
James Mulbah April 16, 2015 at 4:24 am

Zanvi, you are wright to get rid of the old system for a new and a better system. And you can only succeed in achieving your deams in a democratic system.
In Liberia for instance, we fought for fourteen years in order to get rid of that system of one president ruling us for life. And today we have a good system that can enable us vote for someone of
our own choosing.
You can do the same thing if you win this fight that will empower you with a vote to choose your leaders.
The fight for democracy and freedom is not a Machar or Kir fight. It’s a fight for all South Sudanese.

You can do the same

Welcome son of Governor to the people of South Sudan’s movement and hope your father will join you soon!

Dantut, there is no future under Kir.
Unlike Marchar who wants a governing system that will empower all South Sudanese to reach their highest potential, Kir has no vision for the young nation. And his only dream is to rule South Sudan for life.
South Sudan needs democracy and the rule of law. And a government that will not keep someone in power for life.
In Liberia for instance, we fought for fourteen years to put an end to a president ruling for life. And today, there is no Mussevini in Liberia who may want to rule us for life and later install his son after his death.
Democracy and freedom are worth fighting for if you are hoping for a betterffuture.

You are just common refugees and western puppets.

Juba is emerge to collapsed because the Oppositions is getting more and more stronger everyday as many defectors kept coming and fed up with the fact that money are not available any more cause oil has been shut down in Bentiu and other places mean while Uganda is about to get pull out any time as Silva Kiir is losing in all fronts regardless.
