The forum, whose main objective is to ensure a strong collaboration between the central government and state governments, brought together the presidency, TNLA, judiciary and members of diplomatic corps to brainstorm on how to expedite peace-building and implementation of the revitalized peace agreement.

According to the office of the First Vice President, the forum will enhance dialogue, problem solving and decision-making.

“Enhancing focused dialogue, problem solving and decision-making concerning priority activities for Policy reform, best practice development, resources allocation and partner support, along with requisite accountability and fiduciary management systems of public resources allocation, utilization, and accountability.” Read part of a statement from the First Vice President.

“Cultivating strong Organizational relationships and enabling environment for critical linkage between strategic political decision, Policy implementation and public service delivery across all sectors of governments.” He continued.

The First Vice President also said the forum will create a platform for advocacy.

“Advocating for the creation of conditions needed for government and service delivery to be centered on people as beneficiaries and active drivers as individuals and groups in building their own communities, state, and nation, ensuring participation and inclusion in line with the rights-based approach.” Said Machar’s press unit.
