Dec 09, 2021 — This joint petition has been signed and issued by the candidates with full support of the campaign Manager, the polling station Agents, and indeed, the potential partakers (voters) of the LNYAD-2021 election in Juba.
With this petition, the above cited cluster of candidates we would like to announce it first of all to the LNYAD Electoral Committee-2021, all the appropriate government and nongovernmental agencies, the Lou Nuer Youth in particular, and an entire Lou Nuer Community structures ( such as, the women group, elderly people, and above all, both the Lou-Nuer conventional and traditional authorities in Juba) that, the preliminary results of the Date LNYAD election were invalid and therefore, we strongly rejected the results as candidates and our agents whose names are under designated below.
Meanwhile, with all available evidence and the grounds for justification, we rejected the results and declared null and void in our group’s intrinsic capacity as one on whom the processes were conducted in its favor.
Firstly, one Of the reasons for rejecting the results was because of unspecified irregularities in the number of voters registered which were officially declared by EC during the air campaign which were 2386 voters and after that EC updated the number of voters to 2771. The question is where those numbers came from? This itself justified the elections being no longer free and fair anymore.
Secondly, during the polling day on the at Juba Stars Hotel, almost all the females voters were not from the Lou Nuer rather than collection of in-laws, friends, and neighbors from others section of Nuer this was justified by identified more than 10 voters in favors of Wal Makuach which almost causing chaotic after, where chair of EC responded to our teams after identifying those non Lou Youth why do you bother of identifying instead of observing the process? Said by Chair of EC to the polling station agent. What were they observed if nothing like this? Pal Makuach Wiu Thiiak Who is fellow to Wal Makuach conversation on social media with his colleagues.

Thirdly, it has accurately revealed that, there was indirect malpractice in favoring one side to allow females to cast their votes first and men after which lead to the closure of the polling station after knowing.
Fourth, this doesn’t come as a surprise following pressure given by EC speeding up election process of not allowing candidates to prepare themselves even though requested to extend voters registration date as requested and put time frame of voters’ registrations deadline with hard tone voices of unchanging date. In constitutions, elections are supposed to be carried out in 90 days. What causes elections to be done within 48 days, not allowing candidates to prepare themselves within remaining days instead Of imposing an order saying election day is unchangeable?
Finally, but not least we found out that, LNYAD/EC-2021 there has been going on a fraudulent registrations of absentee’s ballots (names) which allow illegal names to vote without questioning.
Prior to that, even though it may happen that we have lost the election, right procedures must be followed whereby the chair must sign the document of election result before announcement of the election result. It took almost 48 hours not knowing what the election was. It came as a surprise to me seeing results floating on social media saying that I have signed and accepted the result of the election.
In summary, with this petition, we are calling upon the Electoral Committee headed by Mr. Gatluak Khot Keat and his entire team to stop and relinquish the continuation of such illegal processing. This is to allow the following:
1: A general Assembly Meeting or an ad hoc session by the candidates both illegally declared victors and the grieved ones) with the representatives of the counties Association tAkobo, Nyirol and Uror) to discuss and decides upon the most needed supplementary auxiliary process for the continuation/runoff of the election.
2: Lou Nuer Youth Election registration list of the candidates and voters record as well should be suspended and kept aside for this time of the rearrangement.
3: Lou-Nuer Youth Election timeframe for the year 2021 and indeed the most complicated part of its process (e.g. the financial issues and qualification for voting) are to be revisited for the need of definite readjustment.
