Sept 22, 2016 (Nyamilepedia) — It is almost 3 years now since the conflict in South Sudan erupted in Juba on the 15th of December 2013. While IGAD PLUS continue to exert tireless and tremendous efforts to completely implement the peace agreement signed by the warring parties, Pres. Salva Kiir continue to hunt down Dr. Riek Machar in order to destroy the signed peace deal.
We, the SPLM/A-YL chapter in Egypt write to reaffirm our unshaken position; we fully support and stand with the SPLM/A-IO under the legitimate leadership of the 1st Vice Pres.Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon and we do not recognize any other self-imposed traitor in the name of Taban Deng Gai as the leader of the people’s movement.
The SPLM/A-YL chapter in A.R of Egypt denounced and disowned the Former Chief Negotiator General Taban Deng Gai and Amb. Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth. We would like to inform the people of South Sudan that the SPLM/A Youth chapter in A.R of Egypt accepted the dismissal of Gen. Taban Deng Gai from ministerial position and SPLM/A-IO Political Bureau on July 22nd 2016. We commend the administration of the SPLM/A-IO for their wise decision, for indeed Gen. Taban Deng Gai and Amb. Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth has defected and joint Salva Kiir’s camp.
We denounce and disown the recent 27 defectors from Egypt
Recently on Thursday, September 15, 2016, a group of self-decorated individuals who has been known in Egypt as people with the belief of being superior to others has defected to Salva Kiir’s camp. These individuals deserted the people’s movement and decided to go back to Juba, join the people who drunk their family’s blood and together wax the bones of their deceased families and friends. These defectors were 32 in number but the SPLM/A mission in A.R of Egypt managed to bring back 5 of them, the remaining now are 27.
Yes, most of them were together with us when we first commemorated the dead of December 2013 and the RED-Card Rally that called for the resignation of Pres. Salva Kiir who murdered and continue to kill South Sudanese.The SPLM/A-YL Chapter in A.R of Egypt believes that there are people behind this fine defection plan. We said so because there is no ground reason of their defection.
The leader of the 27 defectors is Nuor Makuai Nyang, former head of SPLM/A-IO Security adviser in Egypt verbally appointed by Gen. Thoi Chany. Nuor Makuay Nyang claimed to defect to Taban Deng Gai when he is just joining his uncle’s camp. Nuor Makuay Nyang Joint the Tabanist because of position and money; Nuor Nyang adores luxurious life-style, you’ll always find him with the latest version of electronic devices.
Second in defectors command is Elizabeth Nyakong Simon Awan, former Chairperson of SPLM/A- IO Women League Chapter in A.R of Egypt and a well-known die-heart loyalist of Nuor Makuay Nyang who can do anything to please him. Elizabeth N. Simon Awan is a follower, she always invite Nuor Makuay Nyang to help her determine her public decisions.
Third in defectors command is Elizabeth Nyatot Chuol, an elder in Nuer Community who always impose herself in political positions until she was personally advice by Dr. Riek Machar that SPLM/A-IO political camp needs literate candidate unlike community leadership that entail everybody. Elizabeth Nyatot Chuol got pissed when she was told that she was not qualified to run any prime political position in SPLM/A-IO mission in A.R of Egypt; this was proven by her reason of defection when she said;“I am just swapping to an organization that recognize me and has better offer.”
