The SPLM (IO) Coordination Office in Australia Condemns The Recent Attacks in Juba and the Plot To Assassinate Dr. Riek Machar Teny By The Group of President Salva Kiir.

August 3, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— The SPLM (IO) coordination office in Australia, on behalf of all SPLM IO Chapters, would like to condemn in strongest terms the recent devilish attacks launched by the forces of President Salva Kiir on the Forces of SPLA IO to assassinate Dr. Riek Machar Teny, the First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan. The attacks on the bodyguards of Dr. Riek Machar in the Palace was indeed a conspiracy by the cohorts of President Salva Kiir as it was proved by the brutal four days attacks on the residential base of Dr. Riek Machar Teny in Juba.

It has also become crystal clear to everyone that President Kiir was dragging his feet in the implementation of the Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan (ARCISS) to execute his grant plan to kill Dr. Riak Machar and hammer the final nail on the coffin of the Peace Agreement. Thus, we supporters of SPLM IO in Australia would like to call on IGAD-Plus, AU and the International Community to intervene immediately and send the proposed third party forces in order to act as a buffer zone between the two fighting forces, protect the civilians and rescue the country from all out war.

The world cannot continue watching the dictator Kiir and his Jieng Council of Elders in their actions, which bluntly violate the Peace Agreement and can plunge the country into war again. Certainly, we believe the world does not need a stronger reminder of what is unfolding in South Sudan. The war that broke out in 2013 and the recent attacks in Juba had been characterized by indiscriminate atrocities such as rape, ethnic targeting of civilians, massacres, house attacks and widespread destructions of properties with huge displacement of thousands of population into UN camps or outside the Country.

Furthermore, we in the coordination office in Australia would like to condemn in the strongest terms the betrayal of Peace Agreement by the unconstitutional appointment of Taban Deng Gai as First Vice President. It is obvious that the parochial Taban Deng Gai has become a stooge in the hands of Salva Kiir and his group with their hidden agenda to fuel the recent attacks paradigm in the ray of blotting out the peace process as it was witnessed by the people of South Sudan. . Indeed, the premeditated attacks in Juba and the several attempts by Kiir to weaken the SPLA-IO leadership, which include intimidation and inflicting pain on senior cadres of SPLA-IO like the Secretary General and national Minister Dr. Dhieu Mathok Diing and other members in Juba, are a strong proof that Kiir is still thirsty for blood and war. As a result, the coordination office appeals to the International Community and peace loving people to stop the brutality in Juba and bring the culprits to justice.

Finally, there is no doubt that the recent attacks in Juba are a confirmation of the plot of Salva Kiir against the hero of peace and the savior of South Sudan Dr. Riek Machar Teny. However, we would like to assure the world that all these conspiracies are doomed to fail sooner than later, because our Almighty God will continue to protect Dr. Riak Machar Teny through his gallant forces and the brave people of South Sudan. Therefore, we would like to declare that we strongly stand behind the wise and visionary leadership of Dr. Riek Machar Teny to achieve a South Sudan of peace, democracy, equality, justice and prosperity.
