July 23, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— From July 18-23, 2016, the Nuer Supreme Council, the highest organ of the Nuer Community initiated serious consultations by phone and face –to –face meetings with the leaderships of the Nuer Community in the United States of America, Canada, Australia, EU, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt, Uganda and the South Sudan, regarding the prevailing conflict in South Sudan.

During these exhaustive consultations, the Nuer Supreme Council arrived to very important and comprehensive resolutions based on the needs and demands of the Nuer Community and the people of South Sudan as its see fitting for the wellbeing and harmonious coexistence all South Sudanese and to ensure peaceful and Stable South Sudan.

The Council resolved as follow:

  1. We condemn the “escalating violence,” which started on July 7th, 2016 in South Sudan’s capital between the two warring parties; and the relentless targeting attacks on innocent men, women and children, based on their ethnicities by security forces and therefore we demand an immediate end to fighting among armed groups.”
  2. We condemns any attempt to harm or assassinate South Sudan’ First Vice President and Chairman of the SPLM/A –IO, Dr. Riek Machar Teny by the leadership of the government South Sudan. And we would like to make our position very clear, that we stand by Mr. Machar and we fully support the SPLM/A-IO’s agenda for peaceful resolution of the conflict in South Sudan and the Nuer nation is ready to resist attempts contrary.
  • The Nuer Supreme Council and the entire Nuer Community stands behind and support the SPLM/SPLA-IO under the chairmanship of H.E General Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon until the end of Transitional Government of National Unity period. We object any attempt to interrupt the implementation of peace agreement by illegally replacing Machar with none SPLM/A- IO member.
  1. We condemns strongest possible terms attacks and targeting of the UNIMSS personnel, humanitarians workers, and the looting of WFP stores, destructions of United Nation’s properties, blockage of humanitarians access to the needy and intimidation and the imprisonments of the SPLM/A –IO’s members and members of the Nuer Community by the government of South Sudan security forces in Juba.
  2. We fully endorsed and supported the deployment of regional intervention force to South Sudan to serve as a buffer between the opposition and government forces.

In this regard, we would like to stress that such as deployment of regional intervention force is urgently needed and for it’s the only viable option to ensure protection and movement of civilians and other strategic infrastructures because the current Transitional Government of National Unity:

  1. Failed to protect and allow free movement of civilians but instead resorted to killing, raping, intimating and imprisonment of civil population and it can no longer be trusted;
  2. No truth between the warring parties and therefore a regional intervention force would be the bridge to help garner trust between the warring parties and communities;
  1. We strongly recommended that this proposed regional intervention force be given a full mandate including use force when necessary to ensure stability in the country and the protection of civilians.
  • We supported a comprehensive armed embargo on South Sudan including supply, sale, transfer, maintenance, and operation of all weapons, ammunition, military vehicles & equipment, and any other related services and targeted sanctions on individuals on both parties who stand obstacles to meaningful implementation of the peace agreement.
  • We strongly support peaceful resolution to the conflict in South Sudan and condemned those who encouraged violence approach as means to bring peace and stability to the war-torn young nation.
  1. Given what happened in Juba since July 7, 2016 onward, we resolved that peace guarantors for the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan are fully liable for the wellbeing and security of the members of the SPLM/A-IO in Juba. Any life loss among them, therein, during these times, the guarantors are fully responsible because they have failed to live up to their commitments and duties in granting safety to the IO members who gone to Juba to implement peace through guarantors’ assurance.
  1. The Nuer Supreme Council and the entire Nuer Community still call for the revocation of illegal 28 states unilaterally declared by President Salva Kiir on October 2nd, 2015. We stressed that this is a clear violation of the Resolution on the Conflict in South Sudan.

Furthermore, we agreed with all peace-loving nations and institutions who called “the UN Security Council to adhere to the Code of Conduct, endorsed by 112 governments, which calls upon all members of the Council not to vote against a credible draft resolution aimed at preventing or halting mass atrocities” being committed by any government.

-End-

our people let’s not give this a situation we’re currently in it a debate… stressing it up would not help we need a peace in this country we all deserves to be in it and living on it freely we should be talking on how we can restore peace back rather than involving ourselves in politics. politicians are the worse enemies to our dangerous life Becoz they usually tell us things that they never do we should be asking them to compensate the life’s of those who died supporting them I can never sided with u since we don’t actually know what happened they might have hid realities and tell us liars that we might think are truths

I dont know really what kind of mental those of taban deng have? If salva kiir eliminated riek macahar today, he will eliminate taban next day. Or he will join the group of NUER Slaves to Salva Kiir. Why thousands of freedom fighters died if it was for joining salva kiir government? Why rebeling in the first place? He just did this because he is not minister of petroleum? No riek machar was right to balance the allocation of ministries other wise how SPLM IO will be different from the Government?

Those family got major problem they love power just as much as their extended family the Jaang. There is a saying that an apple does not fall far from the tree itself. Unity state is liter with bad apples. if its not one thing it always the other. Machar apparently surrounded himself with family members and all key security personal logistics of splm in Oppositions are said to be family members of Machar and T.Deng. Now you see why Machar could easily be abandon and left for those Jaang dogs to hang him by the nuts. I cant stand those who rides on the backs of other without consideration. The movement is a liberation struggle and not a one man freak show. He never learn does he no wonder why General Peter Gadet decided to step back and see how far Machar and Nuers will go with their unity government that was actually not a unity but a bait to trap in more kills by Jaang. I said last time that they will be soon chased out of Juba and I was right. It does take a genius to know that jaang been at this since ealy 80th or more and now is not the time for them to stop.

Ter,

The council have no mobilization capacity nor are they connected enough around the world to lobby in the favor of their society financially and politically. hence that’s why I called them the supreme council of toothless Nuers. They are reduced to extreme condemnation that packs no pulls or punch. They cannot even mobilised cows to their safety led alone youths for defence of the weak who cannot flee Jaang attacks.

A message of peace. Excellent.
Now what is the response from the people occupying the seats of givernment.

A strong peace firce which can shoor helicopters and tanks to pieces. If they do evil.

Killing fellow South Sudanese is very evil.
What constructive tasks are you taking to stop the madness.

Only those with evil intent fear UN and international oversight (mostly with silly talk about “soverigity”).

Machar has been fooled by the international community not being aware of their own interest in south Sudan they neither like him nor Salva rather than to keep confusing our little minded politicians who call themselves doctors like Riek who think for the safety of own lives & not for his own pipo. for God’s sake how could u destroy the peace u signed with your own ink by attacking the presidential palace thinking u kill the president & declare your self. God is watching u that’s y your body guards were all killed & u remained hiding on Salva Kiir’s the man u wanted kill as went in the meeting with apistol begging him for safety of your wic he gracefully did by selecting a force from his Tiger division of SPLA led by General Marial Nour take Machar to his home. This was enough to show the Nuer ethnicity & those supporting Machar like the international community that he is as kind as Jesus. If Salva wants to kill Machar ,he can do it in less than 24 hours but he doesn’t want coz Machar & his followers don’t know what they doing like who Jesus that’s y Salva kiir forgives him time from 1991,2013,2016 God will judge him his followers.
