July 30, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– In the strongest term possible, the EJNCAA is dismissing and condemning the appointment of Taban Deng Gai by the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit as the First Vice President of South Sudan (FVPSS).
It is illegal and a violation of the Compromised Peace Agreement (CPA) signed in August last year by the two warring parties’ leaders, Salva Kiir Mayardit and Dr Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon.
The EJNCAA is informing Nuer Community (NC) and other South Sudanese in South Sudan and around the world that our support and loyalty still on the peoples’ movement, that is, Sudan People Liberation Army/Movement in Opposition (SPLA/M-IO) under the leadership of Dr Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon.
We termed Taban Deng Gai’s appointment as a defection and an illegal sneak into the leadership that will bring no peace but increase danger to civilian lives and make the conflict worse. It is a recipe of war and destruction of our nation, South Sudan and should not be accepted.
Jikany would claim fatherhood and motherhood of South Sudan. This is due to the reason that all South Sudanese movements from “Any Anya” one to current movement formed and established in Jikany land. However, Jikany will never therefore entertain any act of violence or support anyone who does not want peace but destruction of South Sudan such as Taban Deng Gai, Salva Kiir Mayardit and their supporters.

Our position is that, we need peace and stability in South Sudan. Thus we support the availability of the CPA in the hope that healing and reconciliation may come under it. However, if it is used recklessly and becomes killing or betrayal tool, the EJNCAA would not recognise and/or have any reservations or addendums to it. Therefore, it does not matter whatever it takes, we will never betray peoples’ movement and in particular NC here in Australia, in South Sudan and elsewhere around the world with it. We are urging peoples’ movement, that is, SPLA/M-IO, NC and other South Sudanese in South Sudan and around the world to stand together and condemn Taban Deng Gai’s appointment.
Furthermore, we are urging and calling for Intergovernmental Authority Development (IGAD), African Union (AU) and international communities to act quickly to deploy buffer zone forces and show tough reaction to President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit to reverse Taban Deng Gai’s appointment.
