July 25, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– Only with wrong attitude, wrong mindset and less amount of wisdom, you can finds it normal to backup Taban Deng Gai in his conspiracy to unilaterally replace Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon. A move which motivates many questions from peace lovers around the globe, and surprise to any right mindsets and open-minded people.

In my view, Taban is not only snatching the leadership of the SPLM / A-IO, but he’s deliberately betraying the Nuer community by stabbing them at the back in a very time that they ( Nuers ) are about to make sure that Dec -15th will not repeat itself by bringing legitimate government which can receive its mandate to govern from the people.

As the matter of necessity in political arena, Taban is not eligible person to takeover the leadership of the SPLM / A-IO, and the position of the 1st vice president of the Republic, even if the position is pending replacement. First of all, the structure of the SPLM / A-IO leadership is very coherent.

Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon is the Chairman and C-in-C, Afred Lado Gore is the deputy to Machar in the movement and Dr. Dhiu Mathok Ding Wol is the Secretary general of the party, the SPLM-IO.

With all these, if there is any need to nominate official within the hierarchy of the opposition party [ SPLM-IO ] to acts as first vice president and chairman in the absence of Machar, in real sense, the nominee should never be Taban Deng Gai since Taban is just a member of the political bureau with two senior officials above him according to the structure of the movement. And if it’s a Nuer politics, then Taban Deng can never ever put his buttocks on that seat at any cost , even if other three Nuer sections namely Eastern-Jikany, Lou Nuer and Fangak have agreed to let it go to Western-Nuer ( Bentiu ) again, Taban is not a man whom Nuer can nominate for the leadership to represent them in any form of government or monarch. He’s not trustworthy for anything on behalf of Nuer as community ; unless in other ways like that one of the Crown Hotel, which I believe will not work.

Why I said Taban is not eligible one to takeover if that is not a coup d’etat by Taban in the Hotel, Taban is not any longer a member of the SPLM / A-IO. He’s dismissed from the opposition’s hierarchy by the Chairman of the Party, Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon.  Therefore, Taban should have comply and abide by the orders taken by the leadership of the movement; and simply wait until Dr. Riek return to Juba and resume his duty as the country’s first vice president. And if there’s any need for Dr. Machar to pardon Taban and reinstate him later, then this is what could be decided later by the leadership of the movement whether to forgive him or remains as it’s. Taban have no legitimate power to convene any meeting in the name of the party which he is not any longer a part of.

That is a coup against the constitution of the SPLM.

In other word, there is no power void in the leadership of the SPLM / A-IO, that Taban is claiming to be fulfilling while in the absence of Machar. Dr. Riek Machar still remains the leader of IO whether in Bush, in furnitured office, or elsewhere in the world. Therefore, any comment of replacement constitutes conspiracy against the people’s movement. I must admit that, there’s only a power void over the office of FVP, and that’s not Dr. Machar’s fault, because he was only relocating his base from Jebel in order to avoid further military confrontation that could lead to the lose of lives again. Therefore, it should never be blamed on Dr. Riek Machar. Dr. Riek has shown political willingness to return the country to normalcy, unfortunately, he’s proved wrong by some bully politicians in the country who wishes peace to collapse to keeps them remains in their illegitimate power for lifetime by the mean of destabilizing security situations in the country.

Taban is just an ordinary citizen of South Sudan with no political jurisdiction to claim the leadership of any political organization in the country.

Good article but there is no need to defend Dr. Machar. Kirr has no jurisdiction over the opposition party and should and will not determine who does what and who holds what position in that party. I am not a Sudanese but |Kirr is just full of bull shit and has no intention of keeping peace in S. Sudan. Get rid of the guy or the country will never see peace.
