Feb 18, 2015 (Nyamilepedia) —Â The leadership of SPLM/SPLA in Opposition urges their sympathizers and general public to remain calm, and not be destructed by the recent defection of their former Military Spokesman, Brig. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang.
“The SPLM/SPLA National Committee for Information and Public Relations would like to take this opportunity to inform its members of the desertion of Brig. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang.” Said Mabior Garang de Mabior, the Chairperson of National Committee for Information and Public Relations.
According to Mabior, Lul’s defection is an isolated case that should be ignored given that it happened in his hotel room in the neighboring Kenya, compared to a defection on the battle field.
“The Movement assures members that this desertion is an isolated incident that occurred in a Nairobi Hotel, and does not have any bearing on the military or political situation in the country.” Mabior said.

Mabior Garang,
Are you a foodlover? Why is it that the Nuer who are in government are constantly harassed by Nuer rebels that they should not be with Dinka and you and your mother enjoy high positions in the rebel camp and you don’t advise them to shut their big mouth and ignorant ears?
Name Lul in Nuer dialogue mean,s crying, Lul Ruai will cry forever.
do what you want to do for him
Mabior Garang needs to leave us alone.
Congratulation to Mr mabior ………let mr cry go alone.
you have got it wrong and you will never get it right, I don’t think this is an isolated incident Mr Mabior Garang there is no misleading there of defection of BRIG- General Lul Ruai. If you still having dream that SPLA/SPLM still Gerang’s family property that is a bad dream, SALVA KIIR IS A GOOD GUY, led to freedom . Intellectuals and elders within Nuer communities are doing their best to end this unacceptable war.
Eat and deny,i think Mabior and his sister need to go and say with CONGOLESE because he and his sister never like South Sudanese. Congolese themselves are also our people because there are Zanda / Azende in both countries.
