SOUTH SUDAN UNITED FRONT MOVEMENT/ARMY [SSUFM/A], THE NATIONAL FRONT FOR THE LIBRATION OF THE GRATER UPPPR NILE RGION [NLGUNPR] CALLS FOR THE INTENSIFICATION OF ARMED STRUGGLE AGAINST JUBA

PRESS RELEASE

By David de Chand

THE STATE OF WAR EXISTS AGAINST SALVA KIIR’S REGIME

Oct 1, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– South Sudan Democratic Front Party or South Sudan Democratic Party in Opposition (SSDFP-IO] and its military wings- South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUFM/A) and the National Front for the Libration of the Greater Upper Nile Region (NFLGUNR) do hereby today would like to add their voices to Dr. Machar calls for the intensification of the armed struggle against Salva Kiir’s illegitimate regime in Juba. Although the declaration of war has come too late too soon, it means nothing because it’s never too late and too soon to conquer Salva Kiir’s régime in Juba. We will not relent in the intensification of the armed struggle against Salva Kiir.

We will do our part in this war this time around as we had done in the 2013 eruption of the crisis, which resulted in the internal split of the ruling party in the mid-December 2013, followed by an alleged coup d’état attempt against the Dinka Dictator-for-life masterminded by the former First Vice President Dr. Dr. Riek Machar.

THE INTERNAL PARTY SPLITS SOURED TO NATIONAL CRISIS

Based on the investigation by the international community, there was no substantive evidence to substantiate or corroborate the allegation of a coup d’état attempt against Salva Kiir. It was concluded dropped and declared as a hoax and the biggest lie of the century. Finally, the former FVP was exonerated and let go as a free man.

Actually, what was an internal ruling party split that went berserk became a serious national crisis in which the Nuer ethnicity was targeted by Salva Kiir’s régime for extermination as a “final solution” in whole or in part. What were the reasons of killing unarmed and helpless civilians’ population? Was there any shredded evidence to indicate that they were involved in the coup d’état one way or another?

Since the eruption of the war in the mid-December 2013, we were reserved that the crisis was an internal crisis within the rule party that went berserk and was unable to put itself in order.

Nevertheless, when Salva Kiir’s targeted the Nuer ethnicity for extermination as a “final solution” in whole or in part; committed genocide…defined as the gravest and the greatest crimes against humanity under the UN Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (UNPPCG) that became UNGA resolution 26 (III) A of 9 December 1948, Paris, France, we realized that Juba declared a state of war not only against the Nuer ethnicity, but the entire communities within South Sudan.

Specifically, the targeting of the Nuer ethnicity and later on extended to all non-Dinka ethnicities throughout South Sudan was contrary to the national unity, national integration and the vital national security interest.

THE NUER WHITE ARMY AND GOJAM READY FOR ACTION AGAINST JUBA

The ferocious Nuers fighters were ready to take the war to the Dinka Heartland in Warrap State and Aweil State in Northern Bahr-al-Ghazal, but the commanders and the troopers, the White Army, its counterpart Gojam west of the Nile and the regulars were restraint by Dr. Machar and other Nuer leaders to be waging war of peace as opposed to the real military confrontation.

We welcomed the declaration of war against Juba by Dr. Riek Machar on 26 September 2016. Without the shadow of a doubt, that now all roads are cleared, we will mobilize and to re-organize all military forces for invasion and occupation not only Juba, but the entire Dinka Heartland in Warrap and Aweil in Northern Bahr-el-Ghazal.

If the Twic Dinka Special Militias could have come from Bahr-el-Ghazal region to destroy our cities, villages, committed genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity, we do also deserve the right, the honor and the privilege to return same acts or favors committed in the Greater Upper Nile region in Bahr-al-Ghazal region. It would be a tat-a-tat until the Twic Dinka Special Militias will know that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander and that what is bad for the goose is also bad for the gander for that. The Nuer and all the nationalities abused by the Twic militias have the guts and gusto to avenge the things that they have done, which they ought not to have done. This war could take a decade or longer until all Twic Dinka Special Militias and terrorists have been eliminated once and for all. They should also be hunted down wherever they run, but they cannot hide. We have the capability and the ability to do it and they know and underscore it well.

OPPOSITION COMMITTED TO PEACE PROCESS

The Opposition supported the peace process brokered by the IGAD mediators in August 2015, but it was Juba that became intransigence, stubborn or hardheaded, hardliner, and diehard, recalcitrant and rejected the peace agreement signed by both Dr. Riek Machar and Salva Kiir, respectively.

We urge and appeal to all armed groups in the Opposition throughout South Sudan that the time is now or never to unite our ranks and files, to re-organize and to re-mobilize for a pretty long haul popular armed résistance against the racist, Apartheid, ethnocentric (tribalist), undemocratic, randomly the most corrupt system on the planet-Earth, autocratic and oligarchic Salva Kiir’s illegimate regime in Juba.

GENERAL MOBILIZATION FOR THE ARMED STRUGGLE

We urge and appeal to all able men, women and youths oppressed, dominated, exploited and genocide or democide by Salva Kiir to be ready to make the necessary sacrifices for the cause of freedom, social justice, democracy, freedom, equality and fraternity. This is now the time to re-organize in all our respective regions and then to suck it to Salva Kiir and his cronies in Juba and anywhere they may be found-to be killed anyone that wears the SPLA insignia and uniforms.

PROTECTION OF CIVILIANS’ POPULATION IN WAR ZONES

Our military forces would provide protection to all civilians’ population as stipulated under the Four (4) Geneva Conventions. We would be mindful of Article1 of Geneva Convention concerning captured Prisoners of war [POWs], wounded combatants and surrendered SPLA combatants to the Opposition forces and they would be given fair and humane treatment as specified in the laws of the war engagement.

NO PROTCTION FOR CAPTURED FORIGN TROOPERS

We cannot guaranteed the fate of captured foreign troopers fighting for Juba with emphasis on UPDF, JEM, SRF and the SPLA-N fighting for Juba from day one of the civil war or as if a treacherous tribal warfare in South Sudan. Under international law, they are all mercenaries and terrorists that would have to be dealt with accordingly because there are no articles, clauses and phrases to protect such mercenaries and terrorists under international laws and the rules of war engagements.

THE WAR WOULD NOT ENDS SOON

The war would not end sooner than expected. It could take more years up to a decade or more depending on Salva Kiir to step down or to resign and the unconditional withdraw of UPDF without any preconditions or quid-pro-quos as sine-qua-non to peace of the illegally all foreign military forces staying in South Sudan soil less the UNMISS with a specific mandate to provide protection to all civilians’ population. They would remain in the country as long as there’s no peace throughout South Sudan. We would also further request the UNSC to increase the numbers of UNMISS peacekeepers in South Sudan until peace returns to South Sudan.

The Opposition has been committed to peace process for so long, but it has been provoked by the events that occurred in J1 Building Grounds on Friday 8, July 2016 to assassinate Dr. Machar by Paul Malong Awan and Taban Deng Gai (alas Mohamed Hassan El-Hag). No opposition members would ever sit down with Juba to discuss peaceful and political conflict resolution with Juba. We had given peace a chance because we do believe that peace breeds justice and justice breeds peace and vice versa. We will only sit down with Juba only through the auspices of the UN Envoy similar to Syria’s war peace initiative in Geneva and the Yemeni peace initiative under the auspices of the UN Envoy in Kuwait, respectively.

CONCLUSION

We will be committed to provide protection to civilians’ population because they are part of the solution rather than part of the problem. No soldiers would abuse any human rights at all times. We would not repeat savage and barbaric actions committed by the Twic Dinka Special Militias and the SPLA alike. We will operate under the Four (4) Geneva Convention and we would sign memoranda of Understandings [MOUs] with the NGOs for the protection of the Rights of the Child, women and the elderly. Our forces have got nothing against the civilians’ population except with the Twic Special Militias and the SPLA that we would have no mercy, forgiveness, but never again to forget the things that they have done, which they ought not to have done.

We will not relent from intensifying the armed struggle against Salva Kiir and Taban Deng Gai crocket and corrupt leadership until they will be conquered, disseminated, defeated and annihilated by people’s power and people’s political will and militarily. Surely, unless Salva Kiir steps down or resigns, peace will not return to South Sudan at any time soon in the foreseeable future and it could become the next Syria, Iraq or Yemen and Somalia in the Horn of Africa (HOA) that has moved from stateless to statelessness in the aftermath of the fall of Major-General Sayaid Mohamed Barre in Mogadishu, Somalia, in 1992.

Signed:

Professor/Ambassador David de Chand, Chairman of South Sudan Democratic Front Party- in-Opposition (SSDFP-I-O) and the Interim Chairman of SSIM/A-in-Opposition (SSIM/A-I-O).

Ter SPLM and SPLA(IN Oppositions speaks different languages when it come to considering what is happening on the battle grounds and what is happening in the diplomatic arena. This makes the leadership appears really weak and not appealing to other parties willing to join ranks and forces in implementing a total regime change.

Regime change quite frankly is the objective everyone have in mind, bar none.

This is the fact. Philosopher Thailes from Greece said even a stone can be squezed until water comes out out it. This poor and corrupted rule must be squezed from all sides. We in equatoria have already blocked some of the roads to Juba. The jci is now feeling the heat. It tells kiir to allow the foreign troops to be allowed in and the opening of cantonment areas. but no any of our fighters will report there

It is very unfortunate to have a PhD calling for wars in South Sudan. Prof, would you please compared your statements which you always post and your qualification? The Southern Sudanese people wanted a leader that will bring development, peace, and unity among the people of South Sudan and not war prof. There are many ways of becoming a leader of the nation but not this way prof. There is no need for PhD to called for war prof. the people of South Sudan need to gets rest prof. I think we need new leader to lead South Sudan and not those supports violence prof.
