South Sudan Opposition Alliance is facing a splits over the disputed rotatory election held on Friday of 30th, 2018. The Alliance continues to put more confusion with leaders of the party giving different press releases before the new leader assumes the leadership.
December 2nd, 2018 (Nyamilepedia, Khartoum) — South Sudan Opposition Alliance, a political organization composed of 10 political parties formed in February 2018 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is now facing a serious split over the leadership wrangle. On Sunday, the party made a press release disputing the election which was conducted on Friday of 30th, 2018.

On Saturday, the leader of the National Democratic Movement Dr. Lam Akol blamed Hon. Changson for any future split in the party saying what took place was legitimate.
He believed “Changson may split but what happened was legal” and the Alliance is ready to move ahead without some of its main political parties.
Last week on Friday of 30th, 2018 the party held a rotatory election seeing the then party leader Hon. Gabriel Lew Chang of Federal http://buyonlinegenericmeds.com Democratic Party (FDP) ousted out in a democratic election by Gen. Peter Gatdet’s South Sudan United Movement (SSUM). Gatdet won by 5 votes leaving Changson with 3 members.
Dr. Lam Akol, a principal member of SSOA, believes if Changson will not do as per the Alliance’s order of the agreement as accepted by all the parties, then they have no option but to continue with Gen. Gatdet Yaka as the new leader of the Alliance for the next 6 months.
However, latest press releases by the Alliance’s leadership under Hon. Gabriel Changson of FDP dismissed the election with its press release indicating nothing of such an attempted leadership takeover took place.
“In conclusion, we urged all SSOA leaders to resort to resolving their differences with wisdom and responsible manner in according with SSOA’s governing documents.” According to a letter extended to Nyamiledpedia Editorial.
The Alliance calls upon the others not to consider electing a person “indicted by the international community” to lead SSOA and at the same time criticized the TGONU for doing the same. The party is yet to come out together to clarify the position of the leadership.
The protocol and policies that give the Alliance a rotatory leadership were signed in February of 2018 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia making Hon. Changson of FDP as an interim leader of the Alliance.
South Sudan Opposition Alliance is composed of FDP; NAS; NDM; PDM; SPMLP-FDs; SSPM; SSLM; SSUM; and UDRA. The parties formed the Alliance on the 16th day of February 2018.
