Postponement of the SSUE Election

June 16, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– The office of the electoral committee representing the South Sudan Students Union in Ethiopia do hereby announced the postponement of the students’ election to the end of the September, 2016.

This serves to inform the entire South Sudanese students fraternity in various universities and colleges that, the South Sudanese Students Union in Ethiopia through its mandated electoral committee for the conduct of election wishes to inform you that, due to time constraints as most of you are already on vacation, lacks of readiness in terms of resources for the effective arrangements and facilitation of the electoral requirements, we were unable to conduct the election soon.

Therefore, you are all kindly inform that the election has been called off till September, 2016 when you will all be around for your studies and this will allow us to plan for the upcoming activity with convenience. The electoral committee as well hopes for your safety and responsible stay during your break in various destinations and have a prosperous holiday.

We would like to congratulate the president of South Sudan, H.E Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit and the First Vice President, H.E Dr. Riek Machar Teny for efforts they are making in the implementation of the peace process in our nation.

The upcoming election will base on choosing the new leadership of the students union here in Ethiopia.
