ON THE KILLING OF INNOCENT CIVILLIANS IN WAU STATE BY THE GOVERNMENT MILITIAS

PRESS RELEASE,

waustate

April 11, 2017(Nyamilepedia) ——- The SPLM/ SPLA –IO condemns in the strongest terms possible the Government troops and their militias for the ongoing systematic and barbaric act of killing the innocent civilians in a door to door operation, burning their properties and creating road blocks in the main roads leading to United Nations Protection Site (UNMISS) in Wau town on Monday April 10, 2017.

This incident took place shortly after President Salva Kiir announced a “unilateral ceasefire and cessation of hostilities”. Which confirmed the genocidal and ethnic cleansing nature of the regime of Salva Kiir and JCE which have deliberately refuted on several occasions the claims of looming genocide.

The cowardice act planned by the regime as a retaliation for their massive defeat by our SPLA –IO division (7) gallant forces “Western Bahr El Ghazel Lions” in Bazia Road on April 9, 2017.

The SPLM/SPLA –IO convey their sincere condolences to the families of the deceased persons, who were killed in a cold blood by the ruthless regime forces (SPLA- IG) and their militias in Wau town on Monday April 10, 2017.

Therefore, the SPLM/ SPLA –IO urge the African Union (AU), the United Nations (UN) and the entire International Community to save and protect the lives of the people of South Sudan and Pressure Kiir’s regime to identify those responsible of the heinous genocide should be brought to justice.
