Jan 05, 2017 (Nyamilepedia) — A new rebel group has emerged in South Sudan calling itself the National Resistance Front/Army (NRA) as chaos spreads through the young but war ravaged nation.
The new rebel group that has vowed to fight the current government of Salva Kiir until it’s overthrown is believed to be lead by a former commissioner from Yei County Cosmas Bidali Wori-Kojo.

Yei county has seen some of the worst fighting and atrocities since South Sudan peace agreement collapsed in July 2016 after forces loyal to president Salva Kiir attacked the main armed opposition leader Dr Riek’s assembly areas in Juba causing the opposition figure to leave the country.
Government forces have been accused of committing atrocities amounting to genocide across the country especially in Yie county area were they murdered civilians, killed women and children and rape women and young girls.
UN human rights chief has recently said that human rights violations was occurring within South Sudan war and warned the atrocities could lead to a genocide.
Speaking to media from the jungle of central Equatoria the new rebel group’s commander Cosmas Bidali Wori-Kojo said the group would fight until the current regime is removed and unite the people of South Sudan.
“The current regime has failed … (the people and country). The people of South Sudan must understand that the current regime has caused the ongoing suffering, they should also understand that they must support a government that can serve them” Bedal told the media.
Bedal has warned that the new rebel group had forces in several regions including Western and central Equatoria region, Upper Nile region and also in the Western Bahr el Ghazal region, however the rebel leader refused to disclose the exact location of his forces for security reasons.
“Now I am living in the bush, we have forces, but I cannot tell you the number of the forces I have now because it is a secret.” the rebel commander said.
The rebel commander said his group was not part of the SPLM-IO loyal to Dr Riek but would work with all forces opposed to president Salva kiir’s regime.

What are others doing now? That is love for money not country. Fight four ur right
Fight for your right, do they know how to fight?…. I am afaird the people in that region of South Sudan don’t fight and have not contributed anything during the South and North Sudan war of 1980s to 2005. Instead they called themselves Ugandian during the war. Even with that rebel group will not fight because they don’t like dying and I know they are there to kill certain ehtnic groups for the reseason they are from certain part of the country. The new rebel group around Juba is not there to fight but is there to steal other people personal belonging along Uganda-Juba rd for their own person gain.
It is good move comrades. A defragmented force end up fighting it ownself. Take care we don’t slide into this trap.
I had an opinion that such group formations be delayed into parties until the comments enemy, Kiir is handed to the ICC.That, to me will be honorable achievement.
Great point Karlo, nothing but ICC for Kiir and his terrorist tribal militias cronies included but not limited to all members of Jaang Councils of Elders.
Stop making fool out of yourself. South Sudan is not a member of ICC and ICC have not power to bring any case agains anyone including Riek Machar even if everyone knows Riek is guilty of War crimes on many times. If South Sudan was a member of ICC court Riek Machar would have been transefered to the ICC court and he would have been convicted by the ICC court.
Please you need to do some ressearch to find out if South Sudan is a member of ICC court. To what I know South Sudan is a non member of the ICC court and therefore ICC court will not apply to South Sudanese nationals. Stupid Karlo Momoi Hidang. “Hidang” means yam and cassava eater in Dinka….
