August 8, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– We, Lou Nuer Community in Kampala, Uganda have condemned the illegal appointment of Gen. Taban Deng Gai replacing Dr. Riek Machar in a move to abrogate the agreement on the resolution of conflict in South Sudan (ARCISS), the only hope for a stable and peaceful South Sudan.
We also condemned the continued illegal and abrogative actions of Gen. Taban in destroying the peace agreement, a move engineered by the government of Salva Kirr to divide the Nuer community and continue with their establishment of a miserable South Sudan ruled under tribal supremacy.
Our position is very clear and has been clear: we fully support and stand with the SPLM/A-IO under the legitimate leadership of Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon and we do not recognize any other self-imposed traitor in the name of Gen. Taban as the leader of the people’s movement.

On behalf of Lou Nuer Community, both at home and in diaspora, we hereby declare that we are not and will not be in support of the activities of Gen. Taban Deng and the tribal government of Salva Kiir, not now or any other future time.
We strongly request and warn any son or daughter from our beloved community to be more cautious than ever as the peace agreement is getting collapsed and a new round of aggression by the regime in Juba begins.
We wholeheartedly disown any Lou-Nuer sons and daughters who has joined and participated in Gen. Taban’s malicious activities and further warn them to never do it on behalf of the community for they are no more with us or for us either.
Lou Nuer community will never entertain or support any act meant to divide the Nuer Community and we shall always be in the forefront at the times of difficulties defending the dignity and the pride of Naath.
This mighty community urges every Such Sudanese to back up the ongoing quest for reform being championed by the SPLM/A – IO Chairman and C-in-C, H.E Dr. Riek Machar.
The Lou-Nuer commend the role of Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD), United Nations (UN), Africans Union (AU), Europeans Union (EU), and Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (JMEC) and TROIKA in ensuring the return of peace to South Sudan. We appeal that your heads-up should not be compromised by the government that fails to restore stability in the country.
Lou-Nuer community supports the proposed intervention of regional forces that will provide protection and restore peace and stability, because Juba government is no longer trusted. Its existence only exhibits and confirms the validity of its license to slay more citizens.
