18 January, 2017 (Nyamilepedia) — In a new political blow to the government of President Salva Kiir, a new minister from the government of South Sudan Hon. Lokai Iko Loteya who has defected and joined the armed opposition group SPLM-IO lead by Dr Riek Machar has blasted president Kiir’s regime of being too corrupt and too tribal.
The Local Government Minister has joined the main armed opposition group just a month after another senior female minister of labour quit Kirr’s government last month accusing the president of being too dictatorial and lacking the will to restore peace and stability in the country.

The now former minister of Local government accused the government of president Kiir of  violating the constitution and rights of the people of South Sudanese.
“As of now, this historic party and government have been infiltrated and run by the enemies and agents of hostile parties to the interests of the people of South Sudan during the liberation,” Hon.Loteya said in a press statement to media.
Hon. Lokai Iko Loteyo said that the current government has betrayed the core values and objectives of the ruling SPLM party and was now serving unpopular interests.
Two weeks ago a senior SPLM party official Suzanne Jambo who was chief of the ruling party’s foreign and external relations blasted the regime of Salva Kiir, she said the president was encouraging tribalisms in the system and running the country based on nepotism and corruption
Suzanne called on president Salva Kiir to step aside or face an eminent popular revolution that would sweep the president from power.
Former minister Loteyo said the government of president Kiir was encouraging corruption on massive scale despite South Sudan’s economic crisis, he accused the government of failing to provide services or any development to the population.
Loteya who also served as a former commissioner in Eastern Equatoria state said there was a rise in insecurity and criminal activities with the government failing to protect citizens and failing to clamp down on criminals as a deliberate policy to target citizens.
“President Kiir has personally sanctioned the horrendous massacres of the people from the greater Equatoria region as well as the upper Nile State, Jonglei state, Unity state and Western Bahr al Ghazal State,” Loteyo told the media in a statement released in Nairobi.
The former minister accused president silva Kiir of being a “Tribalisms” and recruiting his own tribesmen into the South Sudan army and using his tribesmen to commit massacres and atrocities against other ethnic groups in South Sudan with impunity and no accountability.
The former local minister called on president Kiir should respect and implement the peace agreement mediated by IGAD and signed in Ethiopia as the only way forward to restore peace in the country.
“As a way forward, it is important for Juba government to recognise genuine peace in South Sudan can only come through the participation of all stakeholders and cognisant of all ARCISS as agreed in August 2015,”

Good news, more and more people from all walks of life see the light. The Juba mob are not working for the people of South Sudan, they are working to further their personal interests and wealth. Disregarding completely the will and wellbeing of the people.
It is time for Kiir and his entourage to step aside and let those with a vision for a better South Sudan step forward (and God knows, there are many very well qualified people who could take the lead).
The extermination sanctioned by Kiir must stop, common sense prevail.
Festus, what are you going to do about it?
I’m very happy because.God made me to stand in right way.I’m in opposition army not in government. and thanks God for that matter.if I’m to be in government

That little Equatorian defected to opposition under leadership of Riek Machar because he couldn’t get a ministerial position in the government in Juba. He is hoping that one day Riek Machar will be a leader and he will secure top position if Riek Machar come to power.
