Fangak Community In Kampala, Uganda Nominated New Leadership.

Jan 15, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — Fangak is one of the counties of the newly created Phou State in the proposed Federal System, adopted by Dr. Riek Machar Teny’s leadership; with its administrative headquarters in Phom el Zeraf. It is geographically situated North to Jonglei State.

Fangak Community in Kampala, Uganda under successive leadership is among the most and highly organized communities. It is known for being principled and revered by other sub-Nuer and South South Communities for its undisputed legacy as Nuer Laws center.

The Community in late December last year had taken a bold step to endorse and nominate new leadership into power.

The new board who is headed by 22 year old Chatim Gai Chatim as unanimously nominated chairperson took oath on 29th December 2014. The function was graced by all Fangak youth, women and elderly in Kampala, regardless of their political colors.

Among the invited guests who attended the inauguration are; Pual Opiw Both, SPLM-IO Country representative, Neen Tut, Former president of South Sudanese Students’ Union in Uganda, Nuer Community chairperson in Uganda, Samuel Gai Quinine, Stephen Wat, Chairperson Phou Community in Uganda, and others.

Fangak elders and guest speakers who turned up include; Gen Thou Tunguan, Thomas Gatdor Kic, Wal Nhial, Nyepiir Wang, Gai Chatim, Molana Diu Dhol among several others.

In his eloquent and elaborate speech the Guest-of-Honor Gen Thou Tunguan asked youth who mostly comprise of students to be in unity of purpose for betterment of Fangak community both at home and in diaspora. He further said school goers should refrain from political activities and instead focus in academic struggle.

The SPLM-IO representative to Uganda, Mr. Paul Opiew Both when given opportunity to say a word to the gathering boasted that the SPLM-IO under democrat Dr. Riak Machar is certain of victory and ready to face, in any mean, what he referred to as genocidal and Totalitarian regime in Juba.

He further urged youth to abandon Juba bloody regime and join and support the visionary movement of Dr. Riak Machar.

Chatim on his brief speech just requested the Fangak community members to continue working hard and promised that his team will follow the successful suite.
