August 04, 2016 (Nyamilepedia) — The Eastern Jikany Community is an amalgamation of Four Counties situated around eastern part of Upper Nile State; these counties are Nasir, Maiwut, Ulang and Longechuk. The community held a meeting on 29th of July 2016 in Juba-UNMISS IDP site after several consultative meetings at the ground in Upper Nile State. The meeting was attended by over 500 participants. The objective of the meeting is to express the community stand and position on the current political crisis in the country and the unilateral appointment of Gen. Taban Deng Gai as First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan by his ally President Salva Kiir.
We, the eastern Jikany Community condemned the ongoing conspiracy of government plus Gen. Taban Deng and his colleague Ezekiel Lol to host Dr. Macher position as First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan. The meeting resolved on the following points;
The community rejected the appointment of Gen. Taban Deng as First Vice President of the republic of South Sudan.

The community unanimously disown Former Head of Foreign mission Amb. Ezekel Lol Gatkuoth, Former State Minister of Physical Infrastructure Bol Ruach Rom and Hon. Bor Gatwech Kuany for joining Taban in his plot to illegally grab the position of Dr. Riek Machar Teny as the First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan. We therefore urge all the members of Jikany community all over the world to disown three men whose names are mentioned above.
It was solidly resolved that anybody who would want to go against the Jikany community position and joint Kiir and Taban’s Governemnt would receive the same treatment and be excommunicated from Jikany community.
We welcome AU and IGAD plus endorsement to deploy intervention brigade to protect the leadership of the country, secure Juba international airport and protect the government installations in Juba and other states in the country.
We condemn the raping of women and underage girls at and around the check point near to the POCs in Juba, Gudele and other parts of Juba, looting of the properties of the civilians in Juba including the looting of UN store along Yei road and indiscriminate killing of the innocent civilians by Salva Kiir forces in Juba. We urge all the Jikany Community members all over the globe to remain united and stand firmly against the dictatorial government of Salva Kiir and his puppet Taban Deng Gai.

we are confused in politics. and indeed the most confused people are the illiterate people in our community they should take themselves off out of politics and focus on their own rights rather than putting their mouth on who is good or bad we all know them and only God will bring his leaders to this country

Well, I understood that many people in the Republic of South Sudan do always talk about dictatorial government held by HE President Salva Kiir Mayardit the man of peace who saved the life of S.S FVP Dr. Riek Machar Teny. I wonder how comes that they called him a dictator. I’ am seeing them promoting credit of tribalism in the country but this will not take forward so that we achieve the objectives that peace agreement required us to do. Those who are in abroad now they never witnessed what was happening in Juba one month ago they have just heard, watched it on TVs and some fake information on social media by tribal factions.
Your rights of rejecting Taban must be respected. Taban is always against the will of Nuer. good you have notice and rejected him. Lul Ezekiel is also desperate to hold a position and forgotten that Jikany do not like him for being a betrayal with Taban. ana taban for Taban Deng Gai!!!
