July 24th, 2014 (Nyamilepedia) — The African Union Commission of Inquiry on South Sudan says President Yoweri Museveni has promised to withdraw the Ugandan troops from South Sudan.

Ugandan troops deployed in South Sudan five months ago and helped stabilize President Kiir’s government then shaken by an army mutiny that saw hundreds of SPLA soldiers breaking ranks to join former vice president Dr Riek Machar.

The UPDF intervention in South Sudan has helped prop up pro-government SPLA soldiers to hold off rebels that had re-grouped and were flomaxbuyonline.com/ marching on Juba.

The former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, who is  the chairperson of the AU Commission of Inquiry on South Sudan talks while in Juba.

He told the media in Juba on Thursday  afternoon that President Museveni has agreed to withdraw Ugandan forces once IGAD troops are deployed in South Sudan.

“When we met President Museveni, he was the first to say that Ugandan troops will not stay a day longer when the IGAD troops are ready to take over, and I believed him,” said Mr Obasanjo.

President Obasanjo also said South Sudanese have the best solution to the ongoing conflict in their country.
