Oct 14th, 2014 (Nyamilepedia/Kampala) — On Tuesday 14th 2014, Eastern Jikany University and Colleges Students in Kampala protest and reject to recognize South Sudan Students Union’s in Uganda Guest of honor Hon. PUR TUT, the Minster of Education Science and Technology of Upper Nile state in the Republic of South Sudan.
Mr. Chuol Gony Gatluak a Student of Cavendish University in Uganda said students merged out from the meeting where Hon Minister from Upper Nile State was the Chief Guest delegated by the Governor of Upper Nile State Simon Kun Puoch to represent him in the general Assembly meeting organized by the South Sudanese Students Union in Uganda.
According to Gatluak, he lamented that, the reason why Jinkany students marched out from Union meeting is due to hearing of the name “SIMON KUN” Governor of Upper Nile state which they claims have killed ten of thousands ( 10,000s) of civilians that comprises of women, children and carry out destruction of properties across Upper Nile state and South Sudan, respectively.
Gatluak said, the Students dishonored Simon Kun Puoch from being a Governor in Upper Nile state. He said all students are sending this patriotic message to all Eastern Jikany members and South Sudanese all over the world that Simon Kun is no longer a member from Eastern Jinkany Community.
Gatluak mentioned that all Eastern Jinkany students from Uganda are still mourning the death of Gen. Gatluak Deng Garang , the son of the former Upper Nile state Governor, whom they claims was murdered by Simon Kun and other people in the system that they term as “ Useless” Government they ever seen on earth.
Meanwhile in the same interview, Ojum Deng Chol, a student from St: Lawrence University said the main reason that let them to walk out is due to President Kiir government that killed innocent civilians with his friend Simon Kun in Greater Upper Nile region. He said Kiir and his loyalists must not be allowed to rule South Sudan when they have carried out genocide and crimes against humanity among the Nuer.
Biwow Gatkuoth Tiem, another student Eastern Jikany student from Cavendish University Uganda denounces Simon Kun Puoch from being a Governor of Upper Nile State. He said, students are not ready to receive anything whatsoever delegated by him (Kun). He said the person who was delegated as Chief Guest Mr. Pur Tut is among the individuals conspiring with the governor for killing civilians in the State.
According to a eye witness whose name is withheld, told Nyamilepedia that, the Chief Guest Mr Pur Tut was escorted by the Uganda security and a South Sudanese Students Union delegation to the hotel where he is accommodated due to the fear that Jikany students were too arrogant to be trusted in regard to his safety.
